NBA 2k17 : Raptors ratings

Post#1 » by tontonpoulet » Fri Sep 2, 2016 4:21 am

Every year there's a conversation here about the Raps and how much of a killer team they are on 2K. I haven't seen anything much of late on the subject and I fell on this link with all the NBA2K17 ratings. http://thereal2kinsider.blogspot.ca/

EDIT: I messed up and put in some 2K16 ratings instead of 2K17. Corrected it now Bold lines 2K17 ratings Everything else is 2K16.
87 (-1) DeMar DeRozan (TOR): 21.5 PER, 55 TS%, 30 USG% (ALL-STAR)
86 (NC) Kyle Lowry (TOR): 22.2 PER, 58 TS%, 26 USG% (ALL-STAR)
82 (-1) Jonas Valanciunas (TOR): 22.6 PER, 61 TS%, 21 USG%
77 (NC) Jared Sullinger (TOR): 16.7 PER, 48 TS%, 22 USG%
76 (+2) Cory Joseph (TOR): 12.4 PER, 51 TS%, 17 USG%
76 (-3) DeMarre Carroll (TOR): 11.9 PER, 49 TS%, 19 USG%
76 (NC) Patrick Patterson (TOR): 10.6 PER, 53 TS%, 13 USG%
75 (NC) Terrence Ross (TOR): 12.9 PER, 55 TS%, 18 USG%
74 (-1) Norman Powell (TOR): 13.3 PER, 54 TS%, 17 USG%
71 (NEW) Jakob Poeltl (TOR): Rookie
69 (-1) Delon Wright (TOR): 17.8 PER, 54 TS%, 22 USG% (229 minutes)
68 (NC) Lucas Nogueira (TOR): 15.6 PER, 64 TS%, 12 USG% (225 minutes)
65 (NC) Bruno Caboclo (TOR): -7.7 PER, 13 TS%, 17 USG% (43 minutes)

Note, I left off Bismack Biyombo (78), James Johnson(73), Luis Scola(74) & Jason Thompson(70) who are no longer on the team but still listed as Torontonians.

Siakam wasn't listed.

Kudos to 2K for recognizing Norman Powell.
Poetl over Bebe. Too funny!!
Why Demar over Kyle ???? I guess Scarface was right when he said 'First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the 2K ratings'

I think Powell is 25 points too low.

Bigs need to be looked at differently when comparing ratings to guards. he is athletic and mobile for position and is extremely well rounded. I mean Drummond, Whiteside and DJ are 87/86/85 with zero offensive game. KAT's 88 makes sense when u project what he can do on both ends.

Streamer was 12 and absolute garbage, gameplay itself looked strong. it's also a leaked version, not finished product, zero patches and player ratings aren't final. Everything I've seen, heard, watched and read points to game being improved in every way possible and it is still by far the best sports video game franchise there is. It's apparently the biggest leap from one 2k to the next since last gen to current.

Why is Poetl rated higher than Bebe funny?

I always find the ratings to be meaningless but it is interesting to see how they rate the Raptors...

This has got to be the least anticipated NBA 2K game in awhile as 2K has done a terrible job marketing it
and releasing news about it which could be a bad sign.

I do like that they have another announce team now that's cool and any word of other International teams
besides USA and Australia?

Funny simply because after all these years Bebe still sucks. We were pretty high on him when we got him from Atlanta. This year is probably his time to shine. We'll see if he can live up to it. I don't expect him to stay past this year if he doesn't pan out.

BTW, Scott Hall is my favorite wrestler ever. DId you check out the documentary discs on him that WWE came out with recently?

The streamer claimed to have a physical copy of the game. Obviously it will be patched and fixed up but I couldn't disagree more on gameplay. Player models and movement was weird. They were moving faster than the basketball. I haven't been impressed with 2K in the past and I continue to be unimpressed. I will try the game but I won't spend 80 dollars on it.

How is DeMar better than Kyle? Even by 2k standers. I just feel Lowry does almost everything better than him. I guess his athleticism made the diffrence.

I looked up other player ratings on HoopsHype...

Mike Conley and Isaiah Thomas are an 85 but Lowry is only 86? LOL. Stop.

How is SETH Curry a 72???? If SETH Curry is 72, Bebe should be a 75 at least.
Larry Nance JR is a 75. He literally did nothing of note last season.
Glen Robinson III is a 70

It seems like scrubs on other teams are WAY over valued, and our bench guys (and stars) are way undervalued.

Isn't the overall rating just a formula? I don't think it's supposed to be some kind of player ranking, yet people always treat it that way. People generally know not to use PERs in that way, same concept here I think.

I know it's hard to do espeically for video games but I find the concept of a rating to be a terrible idea, especialyl since so much has to do with tendencies and not just a single number for, defence per-say

It is formula, but it (supposed to be) is calculated in a way that it should project how valuable player suppose to be. At least in simulation aspect of the game, obviously gameplay is different, overall rating is less relevant there.
