Garrett Temple
Looking for a fair assessment/scouting report on Temple. From what I've gathered he has improved his shooting/offense in the last season or 2. Versatile wing that can handle the ball and a solid defender. Is this about right?

Re: Garrett Temple
He's become a solid defender. Arguably the best & most consistent perimeter defender we had last year (Wall's sense of urgency on D wavered greatly last year due to playing with pain). He's worked his butt off to improve as a shooter. It's not a strength but he's not a complete self-check anymore. He's more of a streak shooter now, capable of going ice cold for multiple games or heating up and nailing multiple 3s in a row. His biggest growth has been finishing on the break. He had some really impressive moments taking it hard to the rim and showed more explosion than he had in the past.
He's a great teammate. Guys in the locker room loved and respected him. He's maximizing his ability for sure. I wish we could have kept him but our front office wasn't giving him $7-8 million per when we had Tomas Satoransky coming over as a backup 1/2.
My biggest concern for the Kings would be if he's asked to play the point. He can handle the rock but he doesn't have any advanced dribble moves and isn't getting to the rim in a half court situation. He's a 2 who can play a little 3 in spot minutes. Honestly I like him better than Afflalo and think your better off with him starting at the 2. I may be in the minority there but Afflalo has looked awful the last few years.

Sort of like a poor man's Lakers-era Ron Harper. There's some Pete Meyers there too. He'd be a nice fit in the triangle playing with a couple of to a Hall of Famers.

First and foremast - a real solid individual who has worked his but off to be a competent NBA player. Realistically, a 5th guard. Has worked and worked and worked to become an acceptable OPEN shooter. Cannot score if he's defensed. Has some PG skills - but not enough to play the point for an extended period, and he will not beat anyone off the dribble. Works his arse off on defense but isn't strong enough to handle bigger 2's for extended periods. He will create turnovers because of his defensive efforts - making it very easy to root for him.
