He does have issues targeting balls downfield. It's been an issue for him since college. He has to be facing the QB to catch it.

I haven't seen enough of Monty to know for sure either way, but if he, Adams, and/or Davis are cut I wouldn't bat an eye. Don't see any of them becoming major contributors (I.e. Starters) down the line, and they all seem more like #4 guys to me. Could be wrong.

I just don't see them cutting Adams this season. He's still cheap, was a second round pick and although he has provided us with so many frustrating moments, he has flashed signs of being a good player as well. I think they give him one more season and then cut him lose next year if he can't figure it out.

In terms of Davis, I just don't know how we give him a spot on the 53. He has speed, and that's about it. I would much rather give that spot to Allison and stash Davis on the PS. I don't think anyone is going to scoop him up, considering he was a reach in the 5th. I think there's a better chance Allison gets signed to a 53 before Davis.

I didn't see any talk about him running backwards in camp, so maybe there is some improvement.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

He also had six tackles for losses, so there's that.

Yep and one of those was for a sack, that move where he blocked the entire time before the other OLB pushed him out the pocket toward Fackrell. Well that was an amazing move by Fackrell.

Lol, I didn't watch 95% of the game, I just think 6 TFL is an absurd amount for the kind of shade you're throwing. But maybe they were all lucky and he just arm-flailed into those other five tackles in the backfield.

It's hard to take anything from what Fackrell was doing against their second and third string offensive linemen. A couple of his tackles were as a result of him just being in the right place at the right time, and a couple were legitimately good plays from him.

Frackrell isn't getting cut so it's kind of a silly argument. IMO the whole premise of cutting a mid round pick after 1 camp is crazy. You invested valuable draft stock in a guy because of years worth of college tape and also what you project them to be when developed. So even if a guy struggles in a couple pre-season games that's a much smaller sample size than what you used to decide to draft him and also development doesn't happen overnight so you need to have a little patience. Now of course plenty of guys don't pan out but at least give the guy a chance to fail.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I would think a 3rd rounder would have to be really bad and not trending upward to get cut, and Fackrell doesn't seem to fit that profile. So what you said.

I loved datone Jones interview in the 4th quarter.

He's talking about the game then gives a shout out to Compton, his wife, momma, baby, cheerleaders, then goes back to discussing football.

It was frigging awesome.
