Researchers now calling for the lifetime ban of athletes who used peds, because some benefits can last for years after your last use. *cough Overeem, cough* (Overeem ate so much horse meat, if anybody's would be lingering, it'd be his)

I think that's aggressive though, because everybody deserves a second chance, and yada, yada. Also, it does taper off, like they used to. It's not going to last your whole career. I think 2 years the first time, then lifetime ban the 2nd time should suffice. Also, you could sue civilly if you were recipients of one of their tainted beatings. Those should be sufficient punishments and deterrences.

But this study does reinforce as I'd been saying that people were being simple in thinking those who were using would drop off immediately after ooc testing started and USADA came aboard. It's a more gradual process than that.

Nick Diaz reportedly jumped by multiple people outside Las Vegas club

According to TMZ Sports, the former UFC welterweight title challenger was jumped by four men outside a nightclub early Wednesday morning. Per reports, Diaz went to the bathroom outside the club Hyde in the Bellagio Casino around 2:30 a.m. and accidentally bumped into another man. Diaz said he apologized and that he didn't want any trouble but the guy didn't take it well and he and three others jumped Diaz.

"I didn't start it," Diaz told TMZ. "People like to hate."

A rep spoke to TMZ confirming Diaz's story, saying that Nick was not the aggressor in the incident and that the attackers were swinging chairs and fighting with club and casino employees.

When asked if the men were trying to fight him because of his notoriety as an MMA fighter, TMZ reported that Diaz did not believe the men knew who he was. Diaz also declined to press charges, noting that "They got the worst of it."
