Jrue is taking a leave of absence from basketball, will obviously miss a portion of the season to care for and support his pregnant wife - Lauren Holiday - while she goes through brain surgery. Hopefully all goes well.

..but seriously, that's why I'm not that high on him. If he don't add weight, he's going to get shawn bradley'd by most strong bigs and could limit his ability to finish better around the rim and get rebounds. If he doesn't add weight, he'll eventually lose his athleticism with his 7'3" frame that would limit his effectiveness. But then, it's again a difference of value projection than most.

Khris Middleton (left hamstring surgery) is expected to miss six months, and the Bucks are reportedly inquiring about trades for a swingman to fill the void.
Middleton's "status for the [2016-17] season is unclear," according to Shams Charania of The Vertical, and GM John Hammond said in a statement that Middleton "[will be] out for a significant period of the season." Giannis Antetokounmpo was already going to get all the minutes he can handle, and Middleton's absence thrusts more minutes onto guys like Rashad Vaughn, Malcolm Brogdon, Matthew Dellavedova and Michael Carter-Williams. That said, we won't know the full fallout until a firm timetable is established and the Bucks make any subsequent moves. Sep 21 - 8:14 PM

Wish it were Middleton that was going to be traded. I would swing Noel/Stauskas over in a heartbeat.

his deal is 3 years at around 25 mil a year? until 2018-19. he may never play again (so the heat think)
what would be your price to "help them out"
would something like Grant for Winslow, Bosh work?
the heat would save ALOT of money...
would the sixers need to get more?
just curious if the bosh news could be something the sixers (and their cap) can take adv. of.

Insurance should cover his contract assuming he's actually done. shouldn't be an issue for the heat.

But insurance doesn't save them from the cap space perspective though, right?

Believe it gets taken off their cap at a certain point. Not sure when. Bosh may have to retire.
