Re: Roster Cuts
Ronnie Hillman was cut today as well. Lots of decent running backs on the market right now.

Most of those guys either get picked up on waivers or signed to practice squads though. But yeah, it wouldn't be a good day for them.

Not really when you spend the money to bring in Murray and then draft Henry. Writing was on the wall my friend.

Re: Roster Cuts
Justin Forsett and Ronnie Hillman so far are the biggest surprises to me. Dixon is hurt and out. Hey Raven, what the hell is going on in Baltimore?

We had a log jam of RBs. Justin Forsett was a pleasant surprise for us, but was really nothing more than a post-Ray Rice stop gap with a pretty low ceiling. Forsett was older, presumably more expensive and didn't look as good in camp and preseason as West, Allen and Dixon.

Re: Roster Cuts
Sitton getting cut shocked me. I seriously hope the Jaguars all over this guy. Our biggest hole on the team is Guard, his hometown is Jacksonville, and we play GB week 1.
It makes way too much sense to actually happen.

Would also love for the Jags to sign Parkey and then release the garbage kicker that we currently have.

Re: Roster Cuts
What do you think of the Chargers final depth chart?

Sucks they only have, at least according to this, three high quality players and no elite ones.

Re: Roster Cuts
strange enough like their defense more than their offense. that receiving corp annual allen injury away from depending on a 36 year old tight end and not much else.
surprised ingram hasnt at least graded high quality, he was dominant second half of last season.

Not really surprised at the cuts, except maybe Forsett since he was expected to be the starting RB?. But like someone else had mentioned he is getting older and his ceiling isn't very high

lol I'm not sure that's a good omen. Typically the older teams have the most injuries.

some of the core players are getting up there.
Kalil and Olsen are 31, Davis is 33, Tolbert is 30, J-Stew is 29. probably need to be looking for some replacements (mainly at RB/FB)

As you and BJJ probably already know, Forsett has been resigned at an affordable 3m/year. Look for his touches to diminish as the year progresses unless he produces like his life depends on it.

Do u anticipate Dixon becoming the lead back at some point? I picked up Forsett & have Dixon stashed away on my squad.

I get the feeling that that is the intent. For fantasy purposes, unless you are in a really deep league, I'd avoid the Ravens backfield at all costs early on while keeping a close eye on what transpires and one finger on the acquisition button. Be warned, Harbaugh continued to platoon when we had Rice, McGahee and McClain in either '08 or '09, so just because one back shows himself to be the young, talented guy, doesn't mean he will get fed the ball enough to make fantasy impact the way you are probably hoping.
