Hearing that Ty Corbin is working out with TJ individually is good... was worried that he was distancing himself from the team. Hoping Ty is saying to him every day - OK, when you get back to Phoenix, you're the man. Dominate. Kill em!

Players like Mozgov, Biyombo or Kanter are in the same tier of Len, so it's common sense to think that with his young age and his work ethic he is gonna get the same money at least.

Len gets 13+ a year easily. I'ld be happy to re-up him this summer at 4/64. which is 16 a year. Win/win situation, Len gets paid big a year early, and we dont let him hit RFA.

Are you talking about the trade forum and that Denver comparison?

Yes.

probably nothing. He hasnt shown that he's worth the max. So the right move is to let it play out for this season and match anything he gets offered.
IMO based off of what was offered this offseason to other Centers, he WOULD have been a max guy if he was a RFA, and offering him the max today could blow up in their faces. After this season, the suns will look at matching any offer he's given. He's very unlikely to take the QO next year based off of his injury history.
Len has to prove his worth. So in order for the sun's to think about maxing him from the start of next offseason he's going to have to CONSISTENTLY put up 15/10/1.5. Anything less they'll have to evaluate what he gets offered from another team.
Extending doesn't automatically mean giving a guy max money. Getting into contract talks now could give the message that we want you here on this team and would forgo the whole courting process and overpay. I doubt we match a max offer sheet for Len, or extend him one ourselves. He'll probably get double digit millions, but I doubt he'll more than Bledsoe and Knight from us. But, the other part of this is whether or not the Suns want to keep Len. Maybe they've already decided to go after bigger names this coming offseason and want the cap flexibility.
We haven't thrown too much money away yet, I don't see them starting now with Len. If he's in a Suns uni next season, it'll be for a very reasonable deal.

letsgosuns wrote:Why is Dragic on that list? That is ridiculous. He had one great game for the Suns in game 3 of the 2010 series against the Spurs. That is all I remember him for. That one fluke year as third team all-NBA was the best year of his career and he never played like that before or since. How could he be on the list and guys like Ceballos, Chapman, Cliff Robinson, Marbury, or even Grant Hill are not on. Those guys I just mentioned all had some of their best years in a Suns uniform and did it for multiple seasons.
Nah, you did the good thing and just quoted my post, but not attributing it to me. They were blasting the post like crazy though.
And yeah, I was shocked that they were calling Reggie "by far" a better all around player than Paul George. You'd be hard pressed to find any Indiana fan that would argue that, and we would beatify Reggie if given the chance. Reggie was many things, and definitely had clutch over PG, but defense was not his strength. He was feisty, and worked hard there, but he was not very good there.
