Question about game tickets

Post#1 » by Phreak50 » Wed Sep 7, 2016 11:14 am

Hey all :)

So not living in the US, I have yet to watch a game live in person but am looking to do so this season.

How far in advance do decent seats sell out? I'm looking at the Cavs, Warriors consecutive games in late March. Will I need to be online the second tickets go on sale for these games so late in the season? Does every game of the year go on sale as soon as the ticket sales open?

And what is the best place online to buy them?

Oh and the best section to sit for a Spurs home game please?

Thanks heaps!

Seats usually sell pretty quickly. They haven't announced when single game seats go on sale yet but it usually happens within the next couple weeks. And usually games for the second half of the season (like the ones your looking for) don't go sale until later in the year.

The Spurs website is probably the best place to look for tickets, if the selection is limited there try stubhub or seatgeek.

As for best section I'd recommend 107, 108, 121 or 122. Your center court and close to the action in those sections.

Thanks for the info. Seems so difficult to do from overseas, having to book annual leave from work, flights (27hours each way) and hope I get tickets. Damn.

You'll be able to find tickets on Stubhub or Seatgeek for sure, they'll just be slightly more expensive since they'll be resale.

Where are flying from?

Oh ok cool, I can handle a little extra to do this trip.

I'm in Australia, thinking of doing a quick one week visit and catching the Cavs and Warriors games, checking out the area too I guess.

Was going to cost me $3000-$3500 AUD just for a week so yeah not cheap at all. Might need to time my trip to Canada with a Spurs away game.

yeah it works out to a massive amount of money just to get there and have a place to sleep

for me it is a choice between a week or two in the south/south west or a new guitar... choice is getting easier to be honest

I don't what the difference is in flights but Toronto isn't all that cheap either. I guess our weak dollar would make a difference though.
