Perfect.

I'm actually surprised the Nets didn't pick him up.... Watching him screw around in Sacramento will be great too.

Been browsing other teams' forums out of boredom lately (that, and the fact that some of the threads in here have me thinking some of you may have been Nazis in your previous life), and I must admit, the Knicks trading for Rose and the signing of Noah have given some of their fans false hope. Phil Jackson, laziest GM in the history of the NBA, has really pulled a fast one over some of them. There's a thread where some of the posters have actually been delusional enough to think that they prefer the Knicks' current situation over the Celtics situation. And then there's another thread that downplays Phil Jackson's confession that he feels bad for not taking Jae Crowder over a 2nd round pick in the Tyson Chandler trade. Holy ****. The fans from the Isiah Thomas era are back, and it will be funny when the Cs smash these fools on Christmas Day.

Reading the article it sounds like Wall will be all about a renegotiation and extension when he is eligible next summer. Looks to me like the Wiz have not planned on keeping cap space open to do so.

Looking at that and this article it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was moved this deadline or next summer and Washington moves on with Beal.

I was never a huge fan and the article and quotes make him seem even more douchey than he early did.

Yeah, John Wall spends way too much time complaining about other people's contracts, which is amazing because he was paid market value at the time he signed his deal. The guy needs to STFU and win games. Plain and simple.

As for Beal - yeah, I'm not too fond of him either. I don't think I'd give up more than a non-Nets pick and expirings for him. His injury history is too much of a red flag for me. And even then, I'm not sure how well he'd mesh with IT, since he's just as ball-dominant as John Wall is.

I can't believe they gave Beal that contract.

Can't believe Knocks gave Noah that contract. Just an awful deal for them. Watch them make the playoffs as a 6 seed and give Rose 4/80 at the end of this year.

I hope it happens. Won't have to worry about that "superteam" for a while.

Will the Celtics locker room be affected by this? Is this jealousy over money thing overblown?

Zeller, potentially the 12th guy on the depth chart, will receive 4th most salary on the team next season.

What in the world is this??

http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html

I think I'll go out on a limb and say we'll be nowhere near 12th in the conference at any point this season.

Looks like a glitch. Those appear to be the standings on February 10, 2014.

Nothing new really, Boston has had guys like Bogans, GWall, Humphries and David Lee making bank three years straight. Most often in the Stevens' era their most highly paid player has been in the running for worst player on the roster.

Thomas isn't in line for an extension until next summer anyway so if he wants to be the highest paid player on the team he'd have to go to Philly or the D-League.

Just me who thinks the Wolves are being hugely over rated? They have the brightest future for sure and are going to be scary, but some people are pegging them as playoff team for sure and I just don't see AT THE MOMENT...

For what it's worth, I would love them to make it and face the Warriors in the first round. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!

Noah/Mozgov/Conley and Batum's contracts are  ... Batum is a fairly talented role player ala Jae. Conley is an above average- matbe all-star PG when healthy, not a #1 guy on a championship team. Noah basically hasn't played ball for the past 2 years, I thought he was gonna retire, and he got 4 year deal at the age of 31. Weirdest part was the Knicks getting rid of Robin Lopez, who's younger and cheaper to obtain Rose, who's regressed massively and sign his buddy who actually looks totally shot- Joakim Noah  ... Mozgov is a straight up stiff.. Tyson Chandler's deal feels like a steal right about now...
Good assessment:

I agree with a majority of your analysis, but Conley is worth the money, especially to the Grizzlies whom are not likely to attract many big name free agents. They took a big gamble on Parsons especially with his injury history. Conley is extremely underrated, he should be an all-star but he plays in a conference that is loaded with PG talent. He was the best free agent point guard on the market and he deserved the max contract, nothing Memphis could do there.

I also think Batum was a good deal, he took a bit of a "hometown" discount to stay in Charlotte when he probably could have got top dollar somewhere else. He was excellent for the Hornets last year and had an excellent season. This is another case where the team wasn't going to get anyone else. I think the player Charlotte is going to miss the most is Jeremy Lin, not that the Hornets should have signed him considering the the contract he received with Brooklyn.
