Week 1 Spreads and Betting

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Sep 5, 2016 11:12 pm

Anything look good? Early season it's always tough

Carolina -3 at Denver
Tampa Bay at Atlanta -3
Minnesota -2 at Tennessee
Cleveland at Philadelphia -4
Cincinnati -2.5 at NY Jets
Oakland at New Orleans -1
San Diego at Kansas City -7
Chicago at Houston -6
Green Bay -4.5 at Jacksonville
Miami at Seattle -10.5
NY Giants -1 at Dallas
Detroit at Indy -4
New England at Arizona -6
Pittsburgh -3 at Washington
Los Angeles -2.5 at San Francisco

Some books don't have a line on the Dallas/Giants game.

I always look first at home dogs, this week that would be Denver, Tennessee, Jets, Jacksonville, Dallas, Washington and San Francisco but I don't really like any of them.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

What sites are popular these days? I haven't bet since WSEX was around.

Lol that's the site I used way back. I remember having to wire money via Western Union. I don't use any site right now.

I use Bovada for placing bets.

Most of those games are tough, but the only one I'd consider is Cleveland at Philly. I know it'll be Wentz's first game, but -4 against the trainwreck that is the Cleveland Browns?

Looks like they take Visa but as I've learned in the past many Visa cards don't go through. Visa gift cards often go through IF they work with international purchases. Many don't. And Bovada charges 4.9% deposit fee after the first deposit, which is steep. I believe you can do wire transfers with no fee if you deposit a certain amount. Withdrawals by check are free if you limit them to once a month.

As MickeyDavis said, you can use a Visa to deposit money, but they do in fact charge 4.9% for each deposit, which is a bit much. There are a ton of coupons online if you search for them to match your deposit, waive the fee, etc, so just do a little research before making your first deposit.

They also mail you a check when you cash out, which most banks will accept. Despite the 4.9% deposit fee, I find it to be the best place for making bets and I haven't run into any issues with payment.
