I know he's not a big name player back in college but I've watched a very little bit of him and thought he could be a really useful catch and shoot guy. Was kinda surprised that Indiana showed interest. Good potential, hope he plays for the Mad Ants.

Somewhat surprising, but have to happy for a player many Indiana fans were criticizing before he even played a minute in the cream and crimson. He's a specialist to the max, but could be great in spot minutes when surrounded by the right players. Jason Kapono and Steve Novak made decent careers out of being pretty one dimensional. One other thing going against him is his height, he's only 6-4, short for a 2 guard.

Nick would have to learn how to play the PG spot, and play much better defense to get into the NBA. Really think of Dellavedova as the model that Nick would have to emulate.

I imagine he got less than $50k guaranteed, and it's really an attempt to steer him to Ft. Wayne of the D-League (last team to cut a player has the first rights to him in the D-League), and maybe more for ticket sales than for on court performance, even in the D-League. I liked Nick a lot as a Hoosier. Heady veteran that hit big shots, but he seems truly a college player, and not really a professional player. But, we shall see.
