Just seems really odd to come back, go through training camp, switch positions, and then contemplate retirement two days before the game.

Dating back to last year, the Rams have now scored 3 TDs in their last 42 offensive drives. So much one could say.

in the last 10 seasons, the only teams to get shut out in Week 1 are the 2009 St. Louis Rams and the 2016 Los Angeles Rams.

The team that went 1-15 that year. The 49ers beat them 35-0 in week 4 that year and then again the 49ers beat them 28-6 in the final game of the year.

“We’re not into that aggressor, non-aggressor,” Kelly said. “I don’t think like that. I just knew what Phil’s [Dawson] distance was. The wind, it’s unique and I’ve only been in here a short amount of time, Phil gave me a very good education on the wind patterns here as they kind of come off.

“Phil is great and one of the things, he’ll tell me exactly and he’ll tell me in pregame because during the game he thinks he can hit every kick. So, we have a very calm, rational talk in pregame exactly where do we need to get the ball too. We were just a little shy of it. In that situation, just felt like if we went for it was a little better. I didn’t want to punt. If you punt the ball is in the end zone. You’re netting 13-yards or whatever the heck it is. I didn’t think very long about making those decisions.”

Had strong personal interest in him the year he came out. Not factoring in Kelly's offense or personal preferences, I'd rather have him than Patton on a blank slate if health isn't an issue.

Little bit of an odd stat. Torrey Smith played more snaps than any other WR in the league this last week with 78 total snaps. Patton tied for 4th most with 72.
