For what it's worth, I would love them to make it and face the Warriors in the first round. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!

I don't think that they're a top 5 Western Conference team by any means but I absolutely think that they can be a playoff team. I expect Dunn to contribute substantially, another year of maturity on KAT and Wiggins plus the addition of a really good coach in Thibs... I fully expect them to make the playoffs....

You guys watching the HOF ceremony?

Allen Iverson talked for like 25 minutes but it was a pretty good one

Yeah definitely not top 5. I got them 8th. Finishing in the low 40's. I can see them like 42-40/43-39 type season. Still a big jump from 29 wins last year. I think Wiggins & Lavine take a jump. Towns is a stud as is. With maturity & coaching improvement, plus the hype & belief that they relly think they're the enxt big team -- Minny's gonna be good.

That being said - I'm so glad Byron Scott & Sam Mitchel are gone. lol These old school ass coaches with all these young studs were killing. I like Mitchell - He should be an assistant somewhere, but he's no HC.

I hate the closed mindset. I understand you're not 100% down with he whole analytics movement. I'm not 100% myself. Think it's a solid tool to go off of, but ppl act like it's the end all be all. But regardless, you as a coach need to adjust to your teams strengths. Know your players, how they need to be handled & do whats best for the team, regardless if it's not your preferred style.

NOLA has gotten a lot of hate for their off season, but i really don't think they did anything bad.

They sign hard nosed role players in Solo Hill, Galloway & E'Twan Moore. These are all fit the system, play team ball, & get down & dirty on defense. if Hill doesn't take a jump, it's an overpay, but if he can get 10-5-3, hit 35% of his 3's with the defense he plays, it's a good pickup. Moore & Galloway were good deals too.

Terrence Jones is better than last year. Injuries & coaches killed him. 2 years ago he was up & coming, now hes a bust? Dude's 24 years old, stop it.

Main rotation should be something like ..
Holiday - Galloway
Hield - Moore
Hill - Stephenson
Davis - Jones
Asik

The only iffy move imo is for Lance. BUT Tyreke is out again for who knows how long? Dude got terrible knees. & Now Holiday is missing time for his poor wife. They need a play maker & that where Lance excels.

The Pels won 30 games last year with Gee, Cunningham, Cole starting playing big mins. None can shoot, none can really create, they just play hard. No replace them with ppl who have skills. Hill will lock up. Hield will stretch the floor. Lance will create. There's just way more of a standard roster in place, compared to start Cunningham & Gee at the 2 & 3 last year.

I don't think the Pels are a super team, I don't even have them in the playoffs, but I do like the moves they made because the have their star & made moves for the role players around him.

Honestly, I have no problem with NBA players smoking weed. I'd rather they smoke weed than take pain killers.

Shots fired! Here's an amazing breakdown of the deficiencies in Russ' game. If you squint you should be able to see why IT is so underrated.

Coach Nick has a bizarre hate for Russ. He's an overhyped ex HS coach, this was from Synergy a day later. Turns out Nick's just trying too hard. Though he did also have the "Curry is a elite defender" video too. He's got an agenda for some reason.

Interesting, thanks for clarifying. IT still comes off looking pretty elite. Russ' turnover rate was higher than I expected in that Bball breakdown segment was that also trumped up?

Don't know. Nick said he charts the data himself, so I'm not sure of the discrepancy, but Russ's TOs are high. I think some of it is Nick focused on the non-transition (which will highlight negatives b/c he doesn't shoot as well). From what I'd heard (did't watch it myself) it was also a lot of 2-3 year old footage by Nick. For some weird reason he really doesn't like Russ, he's had like 2-3 vids since the playoffs that are all negative on him.

Maybe it's about time KG and Pierce do the same with T-Wolves and Cs.

$20 says that Phil Jackson didn't realize that Derrick Rose had a pending civil suit for sexual assault before trading for him.

And I'll bet you double or nothing that Derrick Rose doesn't actually know what "consent" means.
