The Lin thread at the nets board is disgusting. Ol Spaceballer or whatever his name is must be his agent.

Has to work under cap rules, and don't be lame and have Durant coming to CHA but doesn't have to be a player we were rumored to be targeting or that actually changed teams.

Instead of Belinelli trade, Trade Lamb + #22 to SAC for Omri Casspi + 2nd rd pick (#59 select Gary Payton II)
Instead of Sessions sign Etwaun Moore 8.08 Ml salary
Sign Jared Dudley $10.47M
Instead of Roy Hibbert sign Cole Aldrich $7.6M
Don't sign Roberts
Trade Hawes to PHI for Carl Landry + Hollis Thompson, waive Landry
Keep Christian Wood, Perry Ellis, Mike Tobey

Kemba Moore Payton
Batum Dudley Thompson
MKG Casspi Ellis
Marvin Frank Wood
Cody Aldrich Tobey

Cap holds/salaries:
Kemba: $12M
MKG: $11.6M
Cody: $5.3M
Frank: $2.7M
Batum: $19.7M (eligible for Bird rights)
Marv: $9.1M (eligible for early Bird rights)
Dudley: $10.5M
Moore: $8.08M
Aldrich: $7.6M
Casspi: $2.9M
Thompson: $950K
Wood $875K
Payton: 545K
Ellis: $545
Tobey $545

Total: $92.94M

I wish  His agent Jim Tanner and Tandem Sports & Entertainment is located in Virginia. His other agent, Roger Montgomery and Montgomery Sports Group is in Texas.

My IP, which the mods can verify, has been in NYC from my very first post on RealGM all those years ago to my most recent post. So, alas, I'm not his agent.

I'm just a fan because our city gave birth to Linsanity and it was crazy in the entire city for a while. Linsanity belonged to us no matter where he went after he left our city. Happy that he's back.

Not sure about the hostile tone here. I don't believe I've shown any hostility towards the Hornets players or Hornets fans in any way recently. Quite the opposite. It was a fun season last year, and the mods here were great. I'm rooting for MKG and I think he'll have a breakout year. I even stop by every now and then to contribute here (didn't I just drop a news link in the Stephanie Ready thread a couple of days ago?) :D

As for the mess that any thread with a controversial subject matter can become...hopefully, you've learned from last year that Lin's fan base is a diverse bunch. They don't all share the same opinions (and that's not even counting the deliberate trolls). With any large population, you're gonna see all sorts. I'm sure you don't always agree with other Hornets fans here and wouldn't want to be lumped together as a monolithic group. No one speaks for all Lin fans, and many Lin fans don't even agree with each other. They come from all different backgrounds and have all different opinions about Lin or other subject matters. Please don't lump them all together.

And "whatever his name is"? Dude, you just spent an entire year with me here! The least you could do is get my name right

Though I suppose you could call me Mr. Spaceballer if you wanna be all formal and act like you don't know me. No, wait, how about a better title, like Grand Marshall Spaceballer? Supreme Leader Spaceballer? No, wait, that's Fats. Hmm...gonna have to think about this one...could have sworn I had that thesaurus around here somewhere....

you are definitely one of the good Lin posters Spaceballer. I'm sure its going to be quite a ride on the Brooklyn thread this year.
Good signing for you as you should be able to catch a few games this year.

My offseason in hindsight:

(1) Sign Batum using BR (5 years, $120M - $20.8M first year)
(2) Sign Marv using BR (4 years, $54.5M - $12.3M first year)
(3) Sign CLee using BR (4 year, $50M - $11.2M first year)
(4) Sign Seth Curry (2 years, $5.9M - $2.9M first year)
(5) Sign Jared Sullinger (would do Zaza but I feel like that is cheating) (1 year, $5.6M)
(6) Sign Brian Roberts (vet min)

Think that all works.

Kemba | Curry | BRob
Batum | Belinelli | Lamb
MKG | CLee
Marv | Frank | Wood
Cody | Hawes | Sullinger

Steve Martin said 13 Hornets were at the practice court today working out. I wonder who is not there? Cody is in Africa. Hawes and Batum are in Europe.

Steve says Marvin and Lamb have been at the practice facility every day this summer. In reference to Lamb"

"I think he's been living in the training center most of the summer. Relentless. Hope he has a great season."

Unlike a few others, I've yet to be infected by Lamb love, but I really, really (really!) would love to see him turn it around. He has so many tools and such a sweet (wet) stroke. OK, this whole post just sounds pornographic...I just hope Lamb plays basketball better.

Would be fantastic for the team if Lamb could earn regular minutes. Glad to see him working out so hard.

I think Andrew Andrews is a bit of a wild card for us in camp. Here's a guy that averaged over 20 pts, nearly 5 assists, and 6 boards a game for a D1 program, whose coach said he played like an All American, lit up ASU for 30/12, dropped 47 on washington state, gets to the line like a champ (85% on 9.4 attempts), shot 40% from 3 on just under 6 attempts a game, and who couldn't get a mention in DX or NBADraft. I can't tell if we've become so fixated on age/potential that a 23 yr old gets relegated to the bargain bin, or if it's just that he's been unheralded his whole career, but after reading up on him a bit, he seems like the type of player that could surprise people if given some court time.

It really is tragic. His parents should be put in thought prison.

Not sure, but I can confirm he was able to spell his full name faster than any other kid in kindergarten.

When is Media Day? That is always the official start of training camp, but I have not seen an announcement yet.

He started off last season well and then just ended up in the doghouse. He has ability. But he has to sort out his defensive woes and really, follow Sessions when he's with him, not freelance and go out of his element. When playing with Batum, the same thing.
