Re: The Best Trade Offer Series: Eric Bledsoe OR Brandon Knight
Overall, I'd say Bledsoe is a very good starting PG who fits with most teams, while Knight is a solid back-up combo forward.
Even with the injury risk, I think Bledsoe is on a hell of a deal, and I think a lot of teams would go after him aggressively (assuming no huge red flags on from physicians).
Knight seems kind of expensive for what he is, even in the new cap era. I think teams would definitely be interested in picking him up, but not for major assets (meaning late first or a couple good seconds).

The Bucks were on a 46-win pace before the All-Star break when Knight was their leading scorer. He's just not a go-to or #1 option/franchise player that his play-style and high usage suggests. He just needs the right system and role under a coach who can reign in his shot selection.
Agree. He was on impossibly bad Pistons teams and a weirdly dysfunctional Phoenix team. That one Bucks season, he was good. Then they traded him and their season went in the toilet.
He should probably be a 6th man on a really good team instead of an awkward fit on a bad team.
His only really problem is that Phoenix paid thru the nose to get him, but that's not his fault.

I expect the Mavs to be interested in Bledsoe and Chandler. I think a deal centered around Powell, expirings and possibly a conditional pick to Bledsoe's games played is possible. But if it takes Bogut, I wonder if the Mavs still does it. It depends on how much they believe TC can contribute.

Such a persistent myth. I mean we did go to **** after the all star break but it had nothing to do with Knight. Up until the point he was traded we were ~10 points a game better off with him on the pine. Everyone played better without him derping it up at PG. After the break we had all the vets injured and our bench turned from best to worst in the league. We actually had a better starting unit with MCW than Knight that year.

This is both awful value and impossible, conditional picks aren't a thing.

NOP out: Evans Ajinca 2nd rounder
NOP in: Monroe
SAC out: Koufus McLemore
SAC in: MCW Ajinca
PHX out: Knight
PHX in: Evans McLemore MKE - 2017 lotto protected 1st NOP - 2nd
MKE out: Monroe MCW 2017 lotto protected 1st
MKE in: Knight Koufus
7 players vs 11 players
Kupchak I like the basis of this deal. As a Bucks fan the only change I'd do is change Koufos not going to MKE but to Suns and the Bucks getting B. McLemore
I mean this trade would mean the Bucks would have to trade R. Vaughn and T. Ennis for a backup SF.
So Bucks depth chart would look like:
PG: Knight (Delly) (J. Terry)
SG: Middelton( B. Mac)
SF: Giannis (
PF: J. Parker( Teletovic)
C: Henson or Plumlee (T. Maker)

**** no we aren't taking Knight back and we aren't blowing a first for the honour of doing so.

Wait what? How on earth do you think that is even remotely enough for Bledsoe?
How about Suns trade Bledsoe for Mark Cuban as owner. Seems about as likely as your proposition

I would give up stuff for Bledsoe even with his injury concerns, I wouldn't give up much of consequence even for healthy Knight.

Re: The Best Trade Offer Series: Eric Bledsoe OR Brandon Knight
IMO Bucks will not trade a 1st Round pick unless for a star player. Knight is not one of them.
And still Knight will not play as a starter, cause of chemistry issues.
Knight's game doesn't fit with Bucks core, that is why we traded him.
IF he is OK playing 20 min as backup, I think it can be done. If his ego can't accept that, than a NO GO from the Bucks.
I give 5% for the Bucks to trade for Knight ... too many chemistry issues to solve.
So this discussion is more for fun and balancing value than an actual trade scenario.
But then again Bucks and Kidd are inpredictable in trades...

Wait now, why would we give up a first? NOP gets arguably the best player, one that they want. Phx gets a lot of salary cap relief and let's be frank, they get out of the mistake they made with trying to pair Bledsoe and Knight in the first place.
Milwaukee takes on all the salary for a 6th man AND gives up a first? If Bledsoe is coming back, sure, but not going to happen for Knight.

Mistake is a bit subjective. But even if it has been a mistake it doesn't change the player Knight is (good or bad).
You could make the same claims about Monroe as well.
