I feel like the perception is pretty positive. No one knew who he was before. Now reading the comments on Facebook, you'd think people have been fans of this guy forever. Whether he generated financially from his popularity is one thing, but he definitely is a household name now. I think it was mission accomplished in that sense. Just my opinion.
People definitely knew who Kap was before this. He was in a Super Bowl a couple years ago and very successful in college. His sales jumped, but he was a huge name already.
Edit: This was from 2013. He also led jersey sales then.
