I was really perplexed about all the Michael Adams love in this thread. He wasn't even an average PG. I might put Brent Price ahead of him. Robert Pack had a great couple of months that one year before the knee injury.

It's about what they accomplished as Wizards. Adams was here for awhile, he was a tough guys who was a fan favorite, he even made an All-Star team (although it was only 18/8/4 on a poor .506 ts%).

penbeast, that's one way of looking at it. Long term, sorta like lifetime achievements as Bullets/Wizards.

Another way would be to give love to a shooting star/meteorite (one of which I saw and even heard fizzle out months ago) so to speak. Some of the guys we have debated about had one great year or maybe just one hell of a memorable playoff run (Beal).

Some guys were really great one-trick ponies. Jim McIlvaine was a heck of a shot blocker for a blink of an eye. Muresan was not only that, he DID have unstoppable post moves PLUS a soft mid-range shot. He could hit FTs as I recall. Robert Pack? I LOVED his best games. I would say peak Pack was just about an all star in today's game. (NOTE: I truly believe I suggested the Pack/MacClean trade. IIRC I was posting on AOL back in the day. The deal went down literally within days of when I posted the trade idea. Same is true of the Jahidi White and Brevin Knight trade. Y'all know about the Mo Almond story. Three times I MIGHT have been lucky or blessed by God to facilitate something that really went down). I loved the way guys like Darius Songaila, Michael Ruffin, Calvin Booth, Brent Price, Rex Chapman, Trevor Ariza, Cartier Martin, Jahidi White, and I could go on ... CONTRIBUTED POSITIVELY.

Paul Pierce in the Toronto series was freaking cold blooded!

Antawn Jamison in that one series against Cleveland was OUTSTANDING.

DeShawn Stevenson, as has been mentioned, as a Wizard really clowned on Lebron even before his Dallas team bested King James in the finals.

To me, top 5 by position is really a good way to discuss but I recall other contributions. Heck, AJ Price was solid. Lots of guys have been.

Ben Wallace, and I recall looking up Stats Inc back in the day, was a BEAST as a Wizard. But they ignored his per-minute play.

I could go on ....

Wallace wasn't even a beast in Detroit if you go by the numbers, he may have been the worst offensive player to ever be a legit all-star to ever play. He was a physical, defensive, banger guy in Washington, but I don't remember him being the intimidating help defender he was in Detroit; maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention (though I hated the Ike Austin trade at the time . . . like every trade Wes made. He was a classic all time chump).
