Could be skills challenge, rookie sophomore game, dunk contest, 3 point contest or the all star game itself.

Rook-Soph Game - Russell, Ingram (Zubac, if he gets enough playing time might be in the mix as well)
Dunk Contest - Nance maybe
3pt Shoot Out - Russell
ASG - Russell (Clarkson, it's a long shot but I think he could be our best player this season)

I vote 4 out of optimism but most likely we will end up with 2 (Russell and Ingram Rook / Soph game).

Haha, Nance doing the dunk contest is as unrealistic as our young guns making the ASG.

How is it unrealistic for one of the most athletic players in the league to do the dunk contest?

Most likely 3:
DLo, Ingram Rookie/Soph game
Nance Dunk Contest

A stretch possibility is Dlo for Skills challenge

1. Big Man ( No one cares to see a big man in the dunk contest and it works against them most of the time)
2. Nance doesn't really have a big following to get him to the dunk contest.
3. More likely than not, he will not be part of the Rising Stars Challenge. Therefore, bringing him to New orleans would seem like a waste of dollars.
4. There are too many other guys that will probably get the nod before Nance.

D12 and Blake Griffin were big men too but they won anyway. Aaron Gordon did a good job last time and he is a big man too. As for your other arguments, we have yet to see how Nance play this season. If he could show that he is athletic enough and can make highlight dunks then there will be followers and most likely he will be in the dunk contest.

But I agree that Nance playing in the Rising Stars Challenge is a long shot.

Blake was an exception and D12 had a huge following.... Howard's dunks were pretty crap, but this was during the era where the dunk contest sucked...Also, Blake went in a dunk contest with 3 big man + Derozen.

Aaron Gordon was in the dunk contest in HS and is more of a 3, than a "bigman."

Nance is great in game dunker, however, dunk contest is a whole different thing. Nance is athletic, however, how pretty can a bigman dunking really be? His height/position really plays against his odds.

Also, I don't want Nance to be wasting time on the dunk contest after practice unless we straight up tanking than.
