This could be the most balanced roster Stevens has ever had. And the roster he could mix and match the most since the start of the rebuild. I'm really excited to see what he can do with it. Hopefully we settle on an optimal rotation sooner than later.

Interesting interview. Didn't we have a thread guessing which guys were guys on Brad's list of guys who killed us last season? I don't think anybody guessed Gerald Green.

Two weeks 'til Training Camp.
CBS is gonna have a fiesta and a feast, with this roster.
Stevens sure knows how to bring the best out of his players.

I thought he would too. I think that is why he got the two year deal. If he flashes enough potential, or there was a trade that opened up a spot, Boston could keep him on the cheap.

Jones is basically a banger who played PF in college, but doesn't really have the size to do that in the NBA.

Same here. Whatever it is that he lacks, he's a gamer. He can play. Won't be at all surprised if he works his way into a team's rotation at some point.

Agreed. Assuming a top 5 draft pick in 2017 it'll only get better as that player, plus emergence of Brown and hopefully Zizic/Yabusele and other 2017 pick, it's only going to get better. Then another potential top 5 pick in 2018 and I can see the Celtics with this coach/G.M. combo being a potential dynasty. So much rides on Brown and the BK picks though. I honestly haven't been this excited since Bias was drafted.

you just described Mickey, Johnson, Yabusele as well. Jones (and Mickey and Yabusele) is way too small for PF and not nearly quick enough for SF. He reminds me of former Umass PF Lou Roe. He seems to be just a camp body. Lee has a lot of potential. Very similar to Nader and better than most of the scrubs on our bench.

We are still recovering from the Len Bias tragedy.

Life is so precious. I wish guys like Rozier learned from the tragedy.

Oh come on. That was cocaine! Do we have any proof Terry is doing anything more than drinking and smoking pot?

I don't have Terry on Snapchat, and I don't totally endorse that he's posting this publically, but the dude is 22. Let him live a bit.

Side note: I don't know about others on here, but my Snapchat stories are frequently of people drinking and smoking (smoking less so obviously).

Rozier can do whatever he wants. I have no power at all over him. None. Zero.

I just hope he appreciates how precious life is. I certainly didn't when I was his age.

Read on Twitter

I'm not exactly sure which team Mike's referring to (he could be watching a college team or another sport for all I know), but I'm hoping it's the Celtics and that optimism and excitement translate into wins.

EDIT:
Never mind. Souza with the confirmation...

Media Day is here. I don't even know how I made it through the offseason. Let's not do that again.

Really looking forward to this season. Love the roster and coach, and the front office has left options open to improve for the future. Will miss Turner, Sully not so much, but this lineup is at least ready to knock on the door of the house of contenders. A few crafty moves, FA signing, draft or trade and we're right in it. Glad the brass took a long view to rebuild. It will pay off.
