I almost took him instead of Leonard and one other player that's still on the board. Was back and forth. But the fear of losing Davis for 15-20 games scared me off. That and his numbers dipped a bit last year(probably due to injury).
Hoping Leonard takes another step forward now that the team is 100% his

I would have taken Leonard there too.
Really of the guys picked ahead of davis i probably would have only taken him a head of lebron but even thats close. And i only think that because imo this might be the year they start to dial back his minutes in the regular season to keep him fresh for the playoffs. But since bron might be an indestructible robot maybe not.
I really don't get the Giannis hype. Pre-draft I thought he looked really average and now he's in the NBA not much has changed.
Athleticism doesn't just make you a good NBA player. Ball-handling, jumper, strength. Three things which have to improve out of sight. I'm not buying into the "I've got a cool name" hype/potential.
