I like it, if he makes the team we'll be pretty jammed up at the forward spots.

Holy s**t. He was one of my preferred targets at the start of the off-season, and I would have paid 5-6M a season for him.

Great story and great background on him, taking care of his little sister. When given minutes last year, he was a walking double double. Good athleticism and fierce defender.

PG: D'Angelo Russell/ Jose Calderon/ Marcelo Huertas
SG: Jordan Clarkson/ Lou Williams/
SF: Luol Deng/ Brandon Ingram/ Anthony Brown
PF: Julius Randle/ Larry Nance/ Thomas Robinson
C: Timofey Mosgov/ Yi Jianlian/ Tarik Black/ Ivica Zubac/

That would be my 15 man roster.

I recall rumors that the Lakers were high on him during the 2012 draft.

Great signing. No idea where he can find mins.

But dude was an all world talent in college (5th pick)
I always thought he was just in bad spots and bad team/management/culture

Still young. He should be better than black.
Can he play some center in today's nba?

Lakers have far too many post players .
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Arent we considered at bad mgmt/culture at this moment and isnt it a bad spot as well as hes likely behind nance, randle, yi and maybe even black?

he's a really bad version of Julius Randle, he has stone hands and bad footwork on defense. Virtually useless on offense outside of putbacks, not a good passer. His only remarkable skill is rebounding. He's not a good player, maybe he can find room at the end of the bench but even if he makes the team i highly doubt he'll contribute meaningfully.

Doesn't he get injured a lot? or am I thinking of somebody else....

edit... nvm just looked it up, yeah he missed some games due to injury but he moves around a lot, that's what I was probably thinking of... 6th team in 4 years

It seems to me that we're gathering bigs to create a trade package for a disgruntled big on a bombing team. Right now we have enough bigs to trade for one and still have enough rotation bigs left. I think that's why.

He's training camp fodder. It tells you something when the talent deprived Nets would rather take a look at Anthony Bennett than to keep him.

Good signing. We are crowded now with bigs but I don't mind.

I think he'll really surprise people. And if he's playing well in pre-season games, Luke will find minutes for him. No doubt.

Oh wow. He did well during his stay with the Nets. Was a monster on the boards and was playing a small ball C then. Though as Wavy said, that's all there is to him based on last year's play.

I really like the team's composition, especially the bigs. A great collection of old school bigs (Mozgov and Zubac), stretch bigs (Yi and Deng to an extent) and small ball bigs (Black and Robinson). Then you got the "hybrids" with Nance and Randle.

FO moves have been underrated imo.

I just don't see him making the roster with a already crowded front court. He's got Randle, Nace, Mozgov, Black, Yi, and Zubac in front of him. Think he'll play for the D-Fenders if no other NBA team picks him up.

Hell most likely be cut. I really enjoyed watching him at Kansas, and always wondered why his mid range game didnt translate to the NBA

I think it's a solid deal but I don't really get why we are signing so many bigs. I think he and Tarik are very similar players but I actually think Tarik is better

Last year the Warriors had:

Bogut, Green, Speights, Ezeli, McAdoo, Varejao, Thompson, and Barnes see time at PF/C. Plus Looney was on the roster and they played him at SF/PF/C (in extremely limited minutes, but he still took up a roster spot).

Pretty much this. Zach Auguste is already higher on my list of players. Doubt Robinson is anything beyond camp fodder unless he's added a jumpshot to his game.

I think you might be the only one who would use "great" to describe our core of bigs, i think medicore is more fitting

If we are really getting Robinson, why don't we sign josh smith instead.....probably better than Robinson in any single area in playing basketball
