Living here in Maine I see why so many hate the Patriots. Its not so much the team, players, etc., its the damn fans. So different from Celtic fans.

I believe this is partially due to the character assassination we have to endure.

I have been told to my face, by someone who was dead serious, that if I raised my kids as Patriots fans, I would be a bad father.

Exactly. It's sports. We should be able to **** talk each other without the overarching conclusions about everyone's character, personal hygiene, and libidinal proclivities.

Our teams rule. Your teams suck. That doesn't mean we have to curb stomp one another in the parking lots after the games.

With several interesting games this week, we'll have Bears@Cowboys on SNF The NFL should consider being able to flexing games from the very beginning.

This game... will be brutal to watch.

Why is that?

It was brutal to watch. I can't believe how bad the Texans were. All those third downs were they ran the ball... not to mention the fumbles on special teams. With that said, it's always amazing how the Pats are able to neutralize the other teams biggest threats or work around them, Hopkins had a couple of catches, no one else did. Watt was invisible, but then again, with the offense they were running it would always be difficult to get to the qb and it was about containing him in the pocket and tackling.

It was brutal to watch. I can't believe how bad the Texans were. All those third downs were they ran the ball... not to mention the fumbles on special teams. Can't help but think O'Brien will use this as a coaching tool. I really like the guy. I'm still not convinced about Brock Lobster but I'm open to seeing where it goes with him because he absolutely has the pieces on offense to be successful.

It was fascinating to watch Watt be a non-factor. Little Bill is a master at that. But in the end, I still feel the special teams snafus were the killers. Complete momentum shifters.

Can't help but think O'Brien will use this as a coaching tool. I really like the guy. I'm still not convinced about Brock Lobster but I'm open to seeing where it goes with him because he absolutely has the pieces on offense to be successful.

The 3rd quarter started with a long drive, FG. Then a fumble, TD. By the time the Texans finally got the ball they were in a big hole. The crazy thing is that if you think back the catches they had in the first half were great catches by Hopkins. They didn't get anything easy. I'm not sure if it's on Brock not seeing the field well or play calling. You did see that the middle of the field was open with them helping on the WRs. I do know one thing, it was hilarious to see the Texans have like 4 consecutive 3rd downs were they tried to run the ball.

I love how they changed the touchback to the 25 yard line thinking you'd make the game safer by not having as many returns and it's now being exploited. The Patriots being masters at it.

I remember a year or two ago, the Cowboys lost to Colt McCoy at home in prime time, will they do it again or will Elliott finally break out? But more seriously, the Cowboys look very solid, so many long drives, teams just can't handle the OL and then Beasley with his routes. Prescott is yet to make a mistake (other than converting in the red zone, but that's more complex than just pointing the finger at the QB).

Good insights...

The local scribes have noticed the same thing about Dak. I've yet to see him appear flustered either. And - he's ALWAYS looking down field. Even on those plays where it's clear he's keeping it - he's constantly looking down field.

Also noted the Jags WR's inability to beat press coverage. QB's look pretty helpless when their receivers can' get open... or bad when they throw into tight coverage.
