I'm giving them a shot after the silliness of the past 6-8 years. All the stupid skits drove me away and over to NFLN. But now NFLN is pulling the same garbage (the super hero junk last week was idiotic). I don't mind a little joking around but if it isn't surrounded by quality football talk, I'm out.

God, it seems like every one of them is in competition to see how many people they can involve in the show. ESPN must have had six or seven people on their pregame show by the time I stopped watching. On Fox, which I also stopped watching, they kept having that numbnuts Frank Caliendo on. You're right. It just ended up being a clown show of morons trying to talk over each other. I'm an AFC guy anyway, so I have settled in on the CBS pregame show. I don't love it, but it's the least annoying and they spend the most time talking about the stuff that affects my team.

Once they got rid of that meathead Marino, that show improved exponentially. Like you said - it isn't must-see but it's an improvement over Fox and their comedian du-joir. And - Fox still bombards us with Bradshaw who is utterly unwatchable.

I've always disliked the ESPN NFL broadcasts. I'll watch and put up with them if its a good game, but I would much prefer to watch a game on Fox or CBS, or best of all, NBC.

I haven't watched ESPN pre game in over 3 years. Never could stand Ditka.

I don't watch any pregames, but I may watch one of those cheesy fantasy updates to see if Delanie Walker is playing (though I can't stand or take seriously guys standing around in suits talking fantasy as if their jobs are important).

Yeah. Those are bad. I quit playing FFB 10 years ago (I'll explain some day) but will occasionally look at one of those shows (like the one on Sunday Ticket). Those are horrible.

The more I listen to Ditka as an adult who understands football and life better than I did in the 80s, the more I realize that the Bears won that Super Bowl despite Ditka, not with any help from him. The guy is an idiot.

I usually liked Bradshaw well enough when he was the token wacky guy. At least he was a wacky guy with some football sense. I understand why you and probably BJJ have a strong aversion to TB though. Lol.

I quit about 5 years ago since I had been playing since the mid 90s and got sick of it. But then I started again a few years ago but only did leagues with individual defensive players, deeper rosters and having to start 2 qbs to make it more interesting and competitive.

Tirico/Gruden was a good duo (I know a lot ofpeople complain about Gruden). This new play by play guy on ESPN is horrible though. Maybe he'll grow with time. Also the MNF schedule has been underwhelming for a long time for some reason, so that doesn't help.

As for pre-game shows, I keep changing channels, but on the ESPN topic... I have no idea how Chris Berman still has a job.

I actually got over Super Bowl XIII years ago (but I still blame Fred Swearengin - that wasn't pass interference)...

takes deep breath

Bradshaw used to be pretty good on the pregame but in the last 5-8 years he's become a shell of what he was. Shame is I actually like the guy. I've met him a couple of times (he has a ranch near here) and he's a hoot. It just doesn't translate to TV anymore.

I'll always love Bradshaw no matter what, I was raised to love him, both of my parents are from Louisiana and went to la tech (though a few years after him)

Also, raised to hate Malone because I heard he was a douche there (and in general, it turned out to be true in all facets of his life) plus he played for the jazz

Yesterday was not a great college football day for me. I need my Panthers to go out and cheer me up today, I'm ready for some good NFL football.

Raiders once again doing their best impression of the Cowboys defense. Getting shredded. Held the Titans to a FG but that was foreboding.
