If he ends up going to jail, at least it would save the Knicks from giving him the max.

no they didn't. they made this available weeks ago. the accuser's lawyers had been threatening rose with this for some time now.

another thing, look at the date on the letter, 9/22/16. that was last thursday. today is monday 9/26/16. also knick's media day. they had been holding onto this for this very day.

It's a violation of the Attorney Rules of Professional Responsibility to use the thread of filing a criminal proceedings in order to settle a civil case.

so? why are you telling me. read the emails between the accuser's lawyers and rose's regarding the open criminal investigation. go see for yourself.

Because you brought it up. :D I simply added context.

Yep. At the time of the trade, the only way this one made sense to me was as a salary dump of Lopez - which I couldn't figure the rationale for.

Let's hope Jennings has his head on straight.

knicks are honestly better off picking up frank williams on the side of the road than letting ennings dribble the basketball. phil did a terrible job with the point guards this offseason, literally all sizzle and no steak.

don't be shocked if melo runs the point way more than ennings once they pass mid court.

well even if rose goes to jail. Jennings and Chasson Randle >>>>>> Calderon and Jerian Grant.

I don't see nearly enough evidence for Rose to ever go to jail over this.

Rose handled the media well, says he's innocent and he'll be exonerated. A lot are jumping to conclusions, let it play out. Could be Tyson and things go awry but see what happens

This from a Bulls fan. He is definitely in the running. DRose himself is not very bright and it seems he didn't choose the right people to handle this case either. If you ask me, there are a lot of people in there for the money in this case not only on the other side of the case. And I guess most of them will get that money, Rose will pay way more than when he had settled this case long time ago.

Heh. I think you're on to something with that. They're handling it as if they don't care if they **** him over.

Yeah, I think this is what is actually concerning. IIRC, he basically was saying it was consensual instead of avoiding it all together. If it turns out it wasn't consensual, then he already basically confirmed that the event happened

I would agree. Either you hide both parties identifies until after the trial is concluded OR you show both parties identities.

Who? JR? Could be or it means JR has chosen skankier girls to go with who would never report him and therefore would never have had forced JR to try to defend himself.

For the Negative Nancies, Debbie Downers and Chicken Littles of the board: On the positive side, this is a great draft for PG's and talented wings so...if Rose get's the Bob Barker treatment...at least well have a top draft pick.

Supposedly she had a .25 BAC which opens the door to whether she could even legally consent. She had openly denied his requests for group sex on multiple documented texts. Rose during the deposition testimony..."So, was there anything in those text message that led you to believe plaintiff wanted to have group sex with you, Mr Hampton, Mr Allen on that date? No, but I think I let her know just by saying that we were coming and just letting her know I wasn't by myself"

"Q: So they just said, ‘Hey, it’s the middle of the night. Let’s go over to Plaintiff’s house’ and they never gave you a reason why they wanted to go over there?’

Rose: No, but we men. You can assume.

Q: I’m sorry?

Rose: I said we men. You can assume. Like we leaving to go over to someone’s house at 1:00, there’s nothing to talk about."

Goodness...why is he even allowed to talk lol.

I don't think he'll be charged, but seriously, his lawyers are awful

Possibly. Though from what I understand even though the plaintiff drops charges the prosecutor can still choose to continue with the case. So it's a risky ploy.

Without the plaintiff cooperation the case wouldn't have any real substance

true. the criminal case looms if the civil trial happens and evidence comes out that the LAPD and DA can work with. if they settle and put the kibosh on it, and she agrees to not speak on it, the criminal investigation pretty much dies.

the plaintiff doesn't have to do anything for the LAPD to be paying attention to this. it's their job.

as has been mentioned, they don't have anything without her cooperation. but they would be remiss to not be doing due diligence here.

It doesn't matter who did what.. It only matters what you can prove.. Right now.. There is no proof of anything from either side..

To me.. Jane Doe side looks very prepared, but they look desperate.. Only looking for a money grab.. Doing whatever they can to make rose settle before it goes to trial..
