why in the hell was Danny offering the pick last year at the deadline, when it was worth more?

answer: because he didn't want another early playoffs exit. yeah, it would have been great for y'all to sign Durant as a free agent. win now and build at the same time. not saying anything bad about Horford. if he and Brown get you a championship this year, all the power to you. otherwise, tick tock.

but i agree, chances of Noel going to Boston are slim to none.

He was offering the pick for Okafor, and not Noel. If you were a Celtics fan would you want them to trade a Nets pick for Noel?

If I were a Celts fan I would have traded the 3rd pick this past year for Okafor, but I definitely wouldn't trade the same pick in 2017 so that ship has sailed. It's still pretty early to know what the lay of the land will be in 2018.

Noel is correct, the logjam is ridiculous. Whats with this organisation, how could they not see this as an issue? Just seems to be a distinct lack of common sense, last year we don't bother with a PG, this year we roll in with 3 lottery bigs. Only us or the Kings would do something like that....

i agree that Okafor would have been a great fit for last year's Celts, unless he was going to go under the knife anyway. but that's why i get urked by those who talk about Sam being weak to take him, if he doubled down to keep him. and he knew Embiid's prognosis was looking good. (Jah's comments to the press today regarding "watching tape" with Grant to learn to play pf defense was interesting.) so i'm even more intrigued by the lay of the land by the upcoming trade deadline.

Noel is a moron.

To come out and say "I don't think it's gonna work" is not far off from coming out and saying "We're gonna suck this year." Could you imagine if Carson Wentz came out and said before the season "Yeah, I'm a D1AA guy with these receivers? I don't think it's gonna work." He'd get blasted and rightfully so. You can't say that stuff. Right before a season especially, when it's a new year and time for new optimism. He's a miserable prick right now.

I don't care if Noel is right either. Speaking your mind or "telling it like it is" has a time and a place. This isn't it. Now I'm not gonna freak and say "Trade Noel quick!!!" Being reactionary and irrational solves nothing. But he needs to shut his damn mouth.

He is only earning 8,2M this year and 8,8M next year which is a hell of a steal with todays Salary Cap. Why would you give up on a great 3 and D guy for someone who is most likely going to be traded as there is a logjam and will demand +20M per year in the offseason.

Also isn't the 2017 draft pretty good? That 2017 BKN pick could most likely end up as a Top 3 pick

Noel has no idea what he's talking about and seems like a bonafide idiot for thinking this logjam is "silly." Hey Nohands, here's the reason why you're a moron: Joel Embiid hasn't played in 2 years and is coming off a major foot injury. Embiid being a starting-caliber bigman (who can actually stay healthy) is yet to be proven which means you still only have 2 bigs along with a very questionable third. Therefore, you don't ship out one of the healthy bigs without knowing if another one is also 100% and can play a full season. For all we know, Embiid may end up having issues 20 games in...then what? Got it, Nohands?

In fact...get this moron with zero offensive skills and zero feel for the game off the team asap. I already wasn't a NoHands fan, but now I really dislike the dude and his preschooler behavior...ship him out and don't think twice!

Claimed to have (his own) source before, but I suppose we'll see how reliable that is. Nothing in the past could be substantiated like this 'report' of a deal supposedly being 'close'.

Wasn't that the same guy dropping rumors all around the draft that were all wrong?

I honestly don't remember anymore, they all kinda blend in together at this point.

He's saying main piece from Suns is Knight. This might have worked prior to the draft, but the Suns just drafted two bigs and have no need for Noel anymore, with Len also in the mix (not to mention Tyson Chandler).

Knight/Chandler/2018/19 MIA 1st for Noel/Stauskas would be fine with me.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Never heard of the guy, but he is pretty adamant, and has 22k followers.(actually I misread it. He has 1200 followers. That is still a lot for a random person) He will look pretty silly if nobody else corroborates it, or a deal doesn't go down.

I could see trading him to the Suns, and I can see Knight as coming back, but I can't imagine some random Internet guy would figure it out before other more reputable reporters.

I must have missed the part where we claimed he was a superstar.

Did you miss the part where he made the All-NBA defensive first team and is a good shooter to boot?

If you want to go down this road, I've seen Sixers fans refer to Noel as Mutombo, Embiid as Hakeem, and Okafor as Karl Malone.

Bradley isn't the same as LOL Rozier, but Rozier's closer to Noel in a trade value situation (not that I think he is, but I'm only saying) than Noel is to somehow being the equivalent of a first-team all-defensive player with range (which he isn't in any scenario) AND a lottery pick.

Avery Bradley's better, more proven, and more versatile than Noel.

Period. Get out of here with adding a lottery pick on top. Not happening.

For Noel you can ask for leaving by request to be traded without talking these nonsense about how to "build a team in right way".

I have always been one to defend Noel, but the way he is handling this is a joke.
