Re: Fantasy Bball - D League - WeekapaugGroove, BringinDaRuckus, NTB
The Saga of a man with too much brain activity and too little brain functioning
Very happy with the overall aggregated stats of his team, a man got highly intrigued with the possibility of picking a certain forward with decent overall stats across the board, who would maintain his overall statistic status quo.
His pick felt as far away as the galaxies that show up on the beggining of each Star Wars movie, so he started drawing a backup plan, considering his target would most likely not reach his pick.
When doing this research, he came across this particular player Evan Turner, ranked far below the other similar forwards, with similar stats, and in a new situation where he may play more minutes, but have less time with the ball in his hands. This player also had this good career assist rate for a Small Forward, which would be of great use for a team without a PG. So the backup plan started taking form in this man´s brain, and soon enough it sounded even better than the original pick he aimed for.
Then a trade offer appeared. The beautiful plan was sent to the hidden limbo of the brain while new posibilities took over all the possible synapsis available. A quick deal for the pick was made. Then a sudden glimpse of the original backup plan made his way through the shadows of the dark forces that were controlling the poor man´s brain, and a mental battle to take place.
The battle of the brain left several casualties, from a daugher desperate for attention being dully ignored to a wife who is now refusing to reestablish contact with the husband who reemerged from the depths of introspection.
The backup plan was triumphant, but not without consequences. The follow-up to the backup plan is now under severe risk, as the second pick of this plan is now further pushed away from it´s target, desperate, alone, crying in the rain while praying to Phantasia, the goddess of fantasy basketball, to allow his player to reach his final destination.
And this is how I made a trade to pick Evan Turner a player who would be available in my pick and maybe even my next pick anyway....

I was planning on taking Turner in like the 9th round. Good pick I guess...

I have no friggin PG because y´all are so in love with the position because of "Oh I loved Nash so much" and therefore I need this particular passing skill in my wings more than the other stuff those ranked before Turner offer.
Plus, he´ll be challenging Allen Crabbe for the starter spot. How hard can that be...
His rankings between 110-130 were way out of reality anyway.
Or this may all be my brain trying to create peace of mind because in reality I just like the funny jokes I can now make like "oh Evan you Turner me on"

Its probably a little high but Ill take Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Hes gonna get all the minutes he can handle and I need the defensive stats.

I can't believe he lasted this long. It's a risk, but that's a great pick.

Thanks! I think people are scared off by the fact he's 6 months removed from surgery and still isn't ready for training camp. The line coming from the Grizz is it's all precautionary, here's hoping.
Been doing some research on later picks, and gee there are a plethora of options! Lots of moving parts have left plenty of guys with an opportunity to perform.

Otto Porter
I kind of regret how i played my last two picks wish i would have went robin lopez with my last pick and let RHJ fall to this slot. Curious if anyone would have grabbed RHJ before this pick?

Re: Fantasy Bball - D League - BringInDaRuckus, Mathias, STEV13
OK, this is entirely my fault. I must have been completely brain dead last night. Somehow skipped NTB and instead put Avery Bradley twice on the list.
NTB is asleep now (I hope) .. so I will get a mod (thankyou to whoever edited it -maybe BIDR?) to delete BringInDaRuckus' pick. Then when NTB wakes he can make his pick without knowledge of who BringInDaRuckus wanted and we'll continue. I'll assume BringInDaRuckus' pick stays the same unless NTB picks that player.
NTB is on the clock.
