Probably close to that if Vasquez OK. I'd think closer to forty if is he's out.

If he gets caught up into shooting jumpers. I highly doubt he would come close to 48%.

Sure. What I was saying was that, since he would be shooting jumpers anyways, if they don't fall, it would hurt his percentage.

He's definitely not the type that keeps shooting a lot even when his shots aren't falling.

Absolutely homerism, but in an odd way. I think some here think JLin can do 18/7-ish no problem. The 48%, we'd all take 42-45%. 40%, it's not impossible if Lin makes the new shot form stick, even through inevitable (can-still-play-through-it) NBA season injuries. Basic shot form smoothness and arc are pretty much there.

84% FT was oddly realistic. ;)

Um......so the only problem you've got is the 48%FG. If his jumpers go in, it's totally possible. Wasn't he shooting around this percentage at the beginning of the Lakers season?

it'd definitely possible, and I hope Lin gets there like what Dragic did in Suns, I always think Lin can achieve whatever Dragic could achieve, there are similar in a lot of ways... However, I would not project that because I am afraid to jinx him ;-)...
why not just wait and see

Hey, it's not my projection, just talking about the article. (whether it's homerism)

OTOH, I'm sorry, I'm not that superstitious...... 8-)

joe harris and mccullough , bennett, and whitehead will be at end of bench. they are really raw or soft. they will have to prove that they deserve rotation minutes. i think randy foye will be in rotation.

Lin's shooting coach can totally be a homer and still end up making a realistic PPG/APG projection ;)

Everyone here would be happy with 17/7-ish numbers and 42%+ FG/37%+ 3PT/80-85% FT% from Lin, I'd imagine. Beyond the stats is his impact on the team and the offense, though. Much more important to the team's next 3-5 year arc. If he helps make Nets look more respectable, the FAs will give Nets more consideration next season #capnobvious

So yeah, I'm probably gonna look at this Nets season and Lin's season more holistically, like many here.

Lin's an attacking PG, not a SF/PF or something. ;) Even 45% would be pretty whoa.

He was getting close to 50/40/90 at the beginning of the Lakers season. Why not? :P

Team looks pretty good on both D and O. Of course there's some sloppiness and chemistry kinks to work out. But, for an early scrimmage, not bad at all.

As a Canadian, I'm excited for Bennett and hope to see him finally pan out as an NBA pro.

One question I have if this team does well say win 40 games chemistry is good and everything the nets have a lot of cap space which players do you think whether free agent or trade that are borderline all star players or higher that would fit well with how Lin plays? It seems he works best with players that fit his style system. It will be interesting going forward the next few years

Paul Millsap would be the major target I would see us looking at in a best case scenario.

Hassan Whiteside... unfortunately, the Nets can trade the whole team for him, the heat would not do it

If by some miracle from god, the universe, or whatever you believe is responsible for existence that this team wins 40 games we'll be in business free agency wise, especially from Kenny's former players.

Lopez and Milsap would be my ideal combo. I'm a big Milsap fan. Tough guy. professional. he'd fit right in.

but, that is a pipe dream. You'll learn quickly that this is the Nets. Nothing good ever happens here. just despair
