OT - Best pizza in Orlando
Any consensus or recommendations?
My father lives in the area and complains about finding good (thin style - Boston) options. He is a session ticket holder so a place near Amway would help.
Thanks

Lazy moon near UCF is great. I know it's no where near amway buts it's what you're describing.

Midnight pizza downtown is good. Mellow Mushroom in Winter Park is great. Brick and fire was great from what I remember.
I've been living in Tampa for about 2.5 years, so hopefully all of these places are still around.

I don't know that I would say it's the *best* pizza in Orlando, but Gitto's over on Orange Avenue - about a five minute walk from Amway - is pretty good. Thin, New York style. Much better than most places downtown, IMHO.

Some good places in Altamonte, including Broadway and Carmela's.

I'll second this. Awesome pizza at that place. Some of the best I've had since moving here to FL.

If you are talking Boston style, that tends to be bar style pizza. Small slices and really thin. I haven't found anything like that here.
If you are talking what most of the country calls thin/New York style that Gitto's place is the way to go.

Jets Pizza is surprisingly good. Some others Mellow Mushroom, Broadway, and Marcos. Lazy Moon is ok but I feel people mostly go there because of the immense size. Its still worth a try.

Stoned Fire Pizza in Edgewood has a nice thin crust pizza. They are pretty good.

Planet Pizza, downtown around the corner from The Social. I Love NY Pizza, near the airport(OIA) in shopping center of 436 & Lee Vista. I also really like Papa Johns.
I've never really had REAL Chicago style. Have never been to Chicago yet.
Never heard of this place guys. Across from the movie theather, next to Tanquirays? Used to be Gino's pizza?

I'm not super familiar with downtown, so forgive me. But It is just down Orange from the Church St corner. I believe it was called Gino's a while back.

Yeah that's it, new movie theater across the street, Tanquiray's bar right there and Walburgers close by as well. Gino's was good, wonder if they have new owners, and if they kept the pizza the same?

I'm pretty sure I saw them under construction on Colonial just to the E. of I-4 so it'll be close to downtown soon.

East orlando, with out a doubt goodfellas pizza, best garlic knots i have ever had. Also broadway is good and lazy moon for the big slices. I don't really hang out in downtown but to me gittos formaly ginos is to over hyped. Charging 5 for a slice is crazy but they have a prime location lol. Lazy moon you can get that and a beer for 5 lol.
GO MAGIC
