Who's the guy shooting behind Amanda at the end of the clip? He kinda looks like slimmer Sully.

Better than the formal press interview. Also, Amanda.

IT will be MVP candidate, you heard it here first.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Man I am excited about this season!

- Great to hear about IT changing his diet, sleep schedule and working to improve his range. Guy just gets it. So glad to have him on our team. He is going to make the allstar team again.

- I know people have talked about bringing in Pierce to mentor Jaylen, and he certainly knows a lot about the SF position, but we have great leadership on this team already. IT and Horford are great leaders. Amir is always touted as a great locker room presence. Bradley and Crowder are both good lead by example, hard working types. There are plenty of guys to teach Jaylen how to be a pro. Contrast our situation with Philly and LAL .....

- Speaking of Jaylen and professionalism he already seems to be doing pretty well. Love that he really focused on the playbook and was the first one (I presume) at the facility for the first day of practice. I love that he says he should be ahead of the other rookies. He has much higher expectations for himself this season than most fans. He is going to surprise people

- It's been said before but wow are we lucky to have Brad as a coach. Too early for another contract extension?

Good buzz on Young, he's talking positively about himself but Crowder and Stevens are confirming it..

Nice to hear...what a bonus it will be if he actually contributes this year.

Don't know if he'll contribute, but he may buy himself another year on the roster.

I don't think we're going to be getting anything out of Young any time soon, if ever.

That's the worst case scenario in my mind. He doesn't do anything (again) but sticks around anyway? No.

Green's going to be out a few days with a hip flexor injury.

Look, Young just turned 21 on August 16th. He's 5 months younger than Bentil. He was a young 19 year old to start his rookie year, one of the youngest players in the draft. He clearly had maturity issues, with focus and professionalism, but it sounds like he's putting those behind him and starting to 'get it'. How far his work ethic can take him, I don't know. But the organization has had success being patient with Avery Bradley and Kendrick Perkins, two players who needed years to start to show anything. Writing off Young at this point would be a mistake. Given his age, it's very likely he has a floor as, at least, a mediocre role player in the league. Hunter hasn't shown an ability to be that, yet, either, and neither has Bentil.

We shall see, Its going to be an interesting competition in preseason. I would imagine a few of those guys will get showcased in a few of the preseason games. It's too bad teams know they have all the leverage in this situation since we have to cut someone.

It's funny, we added a pereniella all-star Center that has reasonably a few years left in very good form, and looking at our roster I still see our bigs and think we really need to improve there hahaha.

Based on what we have, my guess on the rotation of players that will see minutes is basically

IT/ Smart/ Rozier
Bradley / Smart
Crowder/ Brown or Green
Horford/ KO / Crowder
Amir/ Horford

I'm not sure Ben Bentil, Mickey, Iverson, or Young get any minutes this year.

I expect heavy minutes for IT, Bradley, Crowder, Horford and I would rank them as the current core of this years team. Our team will win or die with their play.

I think Demarius Jackson depending on our PG situation, Jerebko, Zeller, and RJ Hunter could get some minutes in that 9 or 10 man rotation I put up there (depends if Jaylen Brown is polished enough for minutes... it would be very easy for Stevens to give them all to Gerald Green and let Brown fight for 3 minutes here and there in blowouts or send him to the D-league.)

Not that I think this is how it's going to go, but, there's nothing whatsoever preventing us from cutting Green. (Would even save you 400k over cutting Young.)

You spent a Brooklyn pick on Young, and you have control of him for two more years yet. If he shows any signs at all of being ready to contribute....

Going into his 7th year and AB still can't knock down bunnies, even in 2-on-1 practice drills. :nonono:

There has to be someone else getting burn at the 4/5.

7872 minutes available. Horford played 2631 last year (and I expect that to come down a bit), Amir played 1800, KO played 1395 (that should come up if he misses fewer games), and Jae played about 500 at PF.

Call it 2500, 1800, 1600, and 600 this year, which gets you to 6500. Still need to account for about 1400 minutes. Most likely Jerebko gets the largest share of that.

Would not be surprised to see Brown grabbing minutes at the 4, or at the very least, Brown gives Brad the flexibility at the 3 to use Crowder more at the 4.

If Zeller adds a 3 point shot, which he is apparently working on, it will be a good battle between he and Jerebko for the other available frontcourt minutes.

3000 minutes went to Jerebko and Sully last season. My guess is Jerebko gets more than the 1100 he got, and Amir gets a little less.

crowder will get up to 1500 or so with brown or smart playing the 3.
