hey clippers fans, help me with buying tickets for a clippers game

Post#1 » by claudio-br » Sun Aug 14, 2016 11:45 pm

hi there clippers fans. I'm from Brazil and will be on vacation in LA on the holidays. I wanna buy tickets for the LAC vs. DEN game on December 26th and I have a few concerns that I think you could help me out with:
1) Where should I buy tickets? Is Stubhub reliable?
2) I noticed that there tickets for the San MAnuel Club available. IS it like a restaurant? They are going for $168.00, does that include food and drinks?
3) I wanna buy 3 tickets, but apparently stubhub sells either 1, 2 or 4 seats together. How can I get 3 tickets together?
4) given that the game starts at 7:30, would I get a lot of traffic on a Monday from Santa Monica to Staples Center?
I guess that's all for now, thanks!

5) which section should I buy? I remember that in Orlando a lot of people would buy the cheapest tickets and go to a Bud bar that had a good view. Is there something similar for this LAC game?

1. I always buy mine from ticketmaster
2. If the San Manual Club is what I think it is then it's a barlike place literally on the secondish floor of Staples Center. But I think I might be wrong.
3. 3 tickets together might be hard. Like I said I get mine from ticketmaster and 3 seats aren't exactly the most common. You could try going to, I believe it's called, nbatickets.com. That's the official ticket site for NBA games.
4. I'm gonna assume you are staying in Santa Monica. I would say give yourself about an hour and a half before the game to get there. You'll still have to find parking etc. It should only take you at most 45 minutes to get there but just to be safe.
5. If this is the only game you are going to while in the U.S. just pay the extra money for a 100 section. I prefer seats sort of near the center court logo but it's entirely up to you.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

Hey man, I'm an Aussie Clippers fan, been to a few games over past few years.

1) I bought off Stubhub the last few years and can vouch for them, but would also recommend checking out Seat Geek which aggregates ticket selling sites and gives tickets a value rating. I haven't used it yet but there's plenty of promo codes around to give you cash back.
2) no experience here sorry
3) there are a few rare sets of 3 available, just depends on what people are selling. 3 is likely an awkward number of tickets to buy (3rd wheel?) so they will likely mostly be 2s or 4s. I bought 3 together in Boston on my last trip, so they do exist.
4) Being that we drive on the other side of the road, I've always given myself a few hours so I don't have to stress about getting stuck in a traffic jam. If you get there early, there's enough places to get a drink before doors open.
5) If you can spare I would recommend spending a bit extra and getting down in the 100s. I've sat right behind Ralph and Mike (was on TV every time the ball crossed half way) and I've sat opposite the bench literally next to DJ's family. Also sat in the 300s for a LAL@LAC which was awesome atmosphere, but it's a long way up.

You should be going against traffic coming from santa monica, but you should still get there as early as you can and hang out at Nokia live (across the street) as long as you need to. Use waze to get a realistic expectation for how long it will take, but aim to get there by like 5:30.

Any section in level 200 or 100 us acceptable. level 300 is a no go for me.

San Manuel Club -
The San Manuel Club is an exclusive restaurant and bar located on Delta Suite Level A for Private Suite, Premier Seat, and Premier Tables and Lounge Ticket Holders. The Club features a variety of elegantly presented dining selections across several buffet tables for each game and a full bar. You won’t miss a moment of the action either with over 15 flat screen televisions that are installed throughout the space. The spacious main dining room provides seating for hundreds of people and the comfortable outdoor terrace has a spectacular view of L.A. Live. The space is the perfect setting for a pre-game meal, a quick drink during half-time or intermission, a meeting place for a large group or even a private event.

I've bought tickets on eBay and have had no problems, as long as you buy from reputable sellers with significant feedback history you're generally fine. I guess it's a bit different coming from out of town though, you want to be 100% sure the tickets are valid.

It might be a way to find 3 tickets though.

Just thought I'd jump in on this thread instead of starting my own

I'll be in LA from November 16-24 so I'm planning to catch the 2 Bulls games at Staples. Since this is a once in every 10 years thing for me I don't want to sit in the nosebleed section or even 10-15 rows back

The closest seat I've found so far is Section 102 Row B which is behind the visitors bench, but that means there's a row of people in front of me.

Does anyone know how I can get one in row A or preferably on the seats next to the visitors bench i.e. actually on the court?

I've checked stubhub that's where I found the one in row B. I'm about to check ticketmaster and nba.com and eBay

What are the chances I see Jessica Alba? haha :)

You could try Barry's Tickets, FYI I think Row AA is on the Floor, Row A is the one behind it. Good Luck!

I've tried for AAs and they don't come up often. I'd imagine they won't for the Bulls coz Bulls. You may need to contact the team directly for those tickets.
