I gotta believe that singing Jackson either means we are using him in a deal or we're trading Rozier

It means Marcus Smart is a Tony Allen type 2 guard. Not a point guard.

Would be OK with KG coaching the Cavs if he can make LeBron cry on live television at least once this season.

Smart's still younger than Tony Allen was when Allen came into the league. Not only that but he's already bested Allen's career assist and turnover rates.
I agree he's not a full-time PG on offense right now but all these Smart/Allen comparisons out there are giving Tony's extreme wildness a huge pass. The guy was basically almost 30 before he stopped being a turnover machine.
Smart on the other hand has pretty solid ball control in his early 20s.

I'm thinking this isn't a foregone conclusion. Bradley, Smart, and Thomas have 2 years left on their current contracts. Decent chance one of them are dealt sometime next season. Rozier's measureables are pretty close to AB, no reason he can't compete defensively versus many of the SGs in the league like Bradley does. And, I'll add, even if Jackson is good enough for major minutes going forward, he is well versed in playing off the ball.
Baylor is Brat.

Smart can play the 2 and guard 2s and 3s, Rozier can probably guard 2's. But someone probably gets traded.

Don't shoot the messenger, but.....
...if he's healthy and who the hell knows if he is, even though he swears he's fine....
...what about Chris Bosh?
Thomas
Bradley
Crowder
Bosh
Horford

That team takes the East no question.

Ben Simmons fractured foot y'all. Yikes. Sixers can't catch a break.

Absolutely not. The mans health is far and away the top priority. If you sign bosh, somehow find a way to clear his health and he had a major issue on the court causing irreparable harm or something much worse..........
It would be totally irresponsible to sign him

It's all part of their masterplan.

So if, and yes I know it's a big IF, Doctors clear the man, and HE chooses to continue his basketball career, every team in the NBA should just refuse to sign the 11x All Star?
Sorry but that's not going to happen.
Some team will take a chance if he chooses to continue playing and medical personnel clears him to do so.
Best believe Ainge would inquire if Bosh is healthy and able. But that's the key here, will he ever be?

LOL. Feel bad for Simmons. 76ers are a joke though. Do we still have to openly debate who has a brighter future?

The Celtics have already seen one of their players die on the court. Boston will be at the very end of the lineup to sign Bosh. Hopefully reason will prevail and he will retire.

It is long rumored cocaine use led to Reggie Lewis' sad and untimely death. Unless Chris Bosh is using, I fail to see how the two are connected. Two different medical scenarios.
I don't think Ainge isn't going to pass on a medically cleared Bosh because Lewis unfortunately passed away 23 years ago.
But none of this even matter unless he actually is cleared. And don't get me wrong, I seriously doubt he will, was just a pipe dream spitballing.

Looks like we have some serious competition for the most ping pong balls in the 2017 Lottery.

The Tanking Curse of the Sixers is real! If I was the 76ers next draftee, I'd just head for Europe. It's like digging up King Tut's grave. It won't end until it's consumed everyone that comes in contact with Embiid.

TRoz is a hot young PG who can guard 2's--the AB comparisons make no sense.

Re: New Rumors and News Thread
People will hopefully eat all their crow when/if Rozier turns into a rotation player with potential for Ainge. Then Jaylen Brown could be another nail in the coffin in the criticism of Ainge as an evaluator of talent. Hold on to the bullets Danny, if you can't get Paul George or Jimmy Butler don't give up the assets.

Donatas Motiejunas has still not come to terms on a contract with Houston, the deadline for signing the qualifying offer is midnight sunday.
Could be another Sully situation if he can be had for the room exception, can sign 1+1.
Downside is his agent, BJ Armstrong whom Ainge had a bad experience with a year ago with McGee.
