New thread ideas encouraged
My goal in building this forum is to have active threads daily that fill up the whole first page. People have made some great threads, but keep at it!
When asked how Fascism starts, Bertrand Russell once said:
"First, they fascinate the fools. Then, they muzzle the intelligent."

Just interesting stuff, whether stats, history, etc. Most realgm posters will show up in the next month and get here, and if they see this forum active, we will have a ton of great conversation.
Not that we don't already, but I'd like this forum to be a really active one. I know you respond to almost every recent thread every day, but any good new ideas for threads are welcome.

I'll do what I can to start more threads and and help you out when I can. I've just been real reluctant lately for reasons I know you are aware of. Trying to spend more time in the Cowboy forum and stay away from the crazy drama, lol.

Its come a little way since I've joined. Like to see it get way more active. Surpprised myself, Roadhog and Mr. B are only regulars in Cowboy forum. I guess all we can do is keep trying.

The entire forums are dead, except the Wisconsin fans (Green Bay and the Bucks) and also the Raptors...Knicks somewhat.
But it is at least at about 20% of what it will be in a month.

I think the Niners forum is pretty active all season long with those "refugees" from another forum

Injury report is a very good one. I started a smack talk thread a while back I think is also good for many reasons as long as it doesn't go too far. How about a NFL trivia thread? It would be very informative and it will help us learn about each others team throughout the NFL years while adding more disscusion.

Trivia is good. Have you ever done the sporcle quizzes? We could see who does best there though it would require honesty and not cheating (looking stuff up on web). I've done them enough (not lately though) to maybe do better. But old timers might have an edge on me.

They are usually better than this but here is one for starters....then create a thread and we will see who does best in each one..

Re: Who can start some good new threads?
I could start all kinds of Cowboy threads, but just about everyone in here hate America's team. Maybe I'm not the best person for this type of thread. Maybe everyone hates me because I'm a Cowboy fan. Oh well, I'll think of something. Like how many points my Cowboy's will have to give the Sea Hawks in the NFC championship game. I have to check with jack first, lol.

Probably something you can do in the Cowboys forum.

Sounds good to keep us updated on injuries on a week to week basis.

Re: New thread ideas encouraged
We need more football posters in here for this to work. Been trying for 2 years to get this football forum more active. Bottom line, realgm is a basketball forum. This is the only forum I have ever been to or seen that has more activity in basketball rooms than football rooms. I don't get it either. And Cowboy rooms are usually in the top 3, of all boards no matter what forum you are in or join. Here, there is just me, Otis and Mr. B after 2 years. I don't know what else to do. We should be lighting it up in here. Here we are, right in the middle of football season and the basketball forum in here kicks our ass, even before basketball season started they were kicking our ass in activity. How can the number 1 spectator sport in this country that fights over 9 billion dollars a year, take a back seat to the pathetic NBA? Seriously. As someone who officiated basketball for 18 years, coached, played, etc., I don't see the fun in wasting my time and energy all basketball season when we all know its going to be the Warriors or Spurs vs. Cleveland in the championship. I'll stick to college basketball instead, thank you very much. Oh, but there isn't much activity in there either.

I have been here as well as a few others and I don't remember you or Otis or Mr. B.

I was referring to the Cowboy forum where we only have 3 regular posters and the college basketball forum.
