I'm not at all a Monroe fan, but I wouldn't hate this. At worst it combines our bad-ish contracts into one roster spot instead of two, and Milwaukee adds another wing shooter to try to cover up the loss of Middleton. The return seems a little light for Milwaukee, but maybe I'm underestimating how far Monroe's value has fallen.

The real downside to doing this though would be our wing depth. After MKG, Batum, and Belinelli our top guys would be Aaron Harrison and Treveon Graham... I guess should one of those three go down we'd move Marvin to the 3 and go big, thus getting Monroe involved.

Of course, whenever something like this leaks out, it typically means the talks are dead.

Sources stress, though, that recent speculation about a Monroe-to-Charlotte trade in exchange for Jeremy Lamb and Spencer Hawes does not fit that description. Lamb would certainly fill a need with the Bucks, but the Hornets -- already committed to trying to nurse Roy Hibbert back to prominence on a one-year, $5 million deal –- are said to have no interest in Monroe.

I can understand not wanting to trade Lamb/Hawes for Monroe... but if the Hornets stumble out of the gate, I wonder if the front office would reconsider the trade. I probably would trade for Monroe if the season was going poorly 2-months in or so. All players in the purposed trade have 1-year left on their deals after this year anyway, so it's not a long-term investment for either team.
On October 31, 2009, against the Kings, a bat descended onto the court causing a stoppage of play. As the bat flew past, Ginóbili swatted the bat to the ground with his hand. He then carried the creature off the court, earning the applause of the crowd.

Would Hornets be interested in a Lou Williams and 2nd round pick for Jeremy Lamb swap?

I agree. He is not what we need on an athletic team that needs spacing.

Monroe is a cancer.

That seems a bit... harsh.

Yeah, I would say he's more like a bad cold. Weakens, discombobulates, and is hard to get rid of.

He doesn't get along with his teammates. His defense is horrible. Every team he plays on doesn't make the playoffs but when he leaves them they do make the playoffs.
