Preseason games

Post#1 » by The Rebel » Mon Oct 3, 2016 9:50 pm

Tonight preseason starts against the Raptors, there will not be any live TV since Altitude does not want to cut into their golfing shows.

Right ???

And what's the deal with only two preseason games at the Pepsi Center when we start out with 6 out of the first SEVEN on the road, does KSE think they're building the Road Warriors ??? I know they can't control the scheduling, but they can control the preseason....poor marketing IMO.

Nuggets up by 3 at halftime, 57-53.....seems fast-paced.

Raptors fans saw it, Murray, Hernangomez and Beasley didn't get in the game for a while but they all had their moments including the 4th quarter including some great passes from Hernangomez

Just proves TC can DRAFT !! Beasley's first action, scored 9pts in 10 minutes. Harris went out with a groin injury, not a good start to his season but letting Barton, Murray and Beasley to show what they've got. Our front line looks pretty good too. Like the start especially on the road !

That pass was nasty. Looks like we have some more bogs that can pass.

I caught most of the 2nd half on a stream. Juancho had a second really nice pass IIRC, and Murray had a few nice moments as well.

From what I've heard, it sounds Nurkic was the most impressive.

Was a fun game guys.

Your bigs look scary and Murray picked it up towards the end.

Gomez is a sick passer. Though he bricked 2 threes hopefully he improves on that or it was just a bad day shooting wise.

Just seeing the box score Beasley jumps out as someone I want to see play more. Hopefully last night wasn't an indication of Mudiay's year, he shot the ball pretty poorly.

Was at the game:
- Jokic and Nurkic are absolutely terrifying. Both of them were fantastic. They even played some minutes together and killed the raptors on teh glass.
- Faried did not look good in his limited minutes.
- Mudiay was left wide open, that's why he shot so much but kept missing
- Murray looks great, calm and smooth with the ball
- Barton and Beasley were the other bright spots

From what little I can see on YouTube, the Raptors had some bright spots too. They are a team I enjoy watching. I like their team-approach. I haven't looked in the Toronto paper or forums. Were the Raptors' fans fairly happy with last night?

I am seeing a lot of discussion on the Toronto board regarding this first game. Apparently, Nurkic and Jokic made an quite an impression. It's looking like the Nuggets are starting with a big lineup. The rooks look good too!

I have to admire the tenacity of the Raptor's fans with a 40 page thread on a preseason game. Obviously, they could see it when we could not.

The next game is live on NBA TV Friday.

Glad to hear about the success of the Jurkic lineup but it does have me worried. What happens if one (or both) get into foul trouble, who's going to play Center ? Are we going small-ball the entire game ?

This board is Raptor heavy by leaps and bounds....One team represents the entire country.

Meanwhile the Nuggets have one reporter and a few bloggers covering the Nuggets

With Gary Harris out for atleast a couple of weeks, it makes me very relieved that we have so much depth and that its something we wont have to worry about too much. We can give Harris all the time that he needs to rest, plus some, and still have Barton, Murray, And Beasley in the lineup. Depth always comes in handy when situations like this arise. Still hoping for a speedy recovery but it looks like he could be back by Seasons start.

Per Woj, Harris is out 4-6 weeks with a partial torn groin. Looking at the schedule he should be back around Nov16 for the Suns game, his defense will be missed early on. However, this will give time to Murray and Beasley and more like to showcase Barton who can shine IMO.

Harris will miss anywhere from 6-10 games. SUCKS !!

Look at the bright side, Jokic got an opportunity exactly like this last year. Maybe Beasley or Murray can shine and show us they deserve to start earlier on in the season? I mean considering how high we were (and still are) on Nurkic, it was difficult for Jokic. But Murray was the 7th pick and Beasley would have been higher had it not been for an injury that sidelined him. And I saw what he did in the preseason game, he's got a shot and can play D enough to cover up the injury on Harris. Lol can you guys tell im very high on Beasley?

Never want to see a guy get hurt but and opening at the 2 spot to see Murray and Beasley is good imo. Barton might start but those guys will def get some burn.

I was pretty disappointed by Mudiay's play tonight. Sucks to see he's still unnecessarily fading away on jumpers and still struggling to finish at the rim around contact.

Murray looked damn good though. Didn't shoot the ball well but showed some nice PG and playmaking skills. I'm excited about this kid.
