Just as a public FYI because this seems like an appropriate time to say this, our tolerance for Lin-centric discussions from folks that are no longer regular participants on our board is going to be practically zero this season.

You mean that Point Guard that left for Brooklyn?

Jorge fans are crazy.

Well there you go. There's always a chance that that journeyman Point Guard that left for Brooklyn comes back, cuz that's what journeymen do. Could be a win-win if the PGs who have already returned to the fold aren't up to the task.

Oh ... did you mean the other point guard. If that one ever comes back then I'll have to resurrect my dream of "teaching the world to sing in perfect harmony" because that would mean even the longest of long-shots is possible.

Like they said, "if he was meant to be a starting point guard, then he would BE a starting PG rather than a bench scrub". And, "if he was meant to be a Charlotte Hornet, then he would STILL be a Hornet".

Hey, I mean no disrespect. I'm a big fan of your boy Jorge, there's no reason to think he won't start for the Nets sooner rather than later.

It was just a preseason game, Ramon is gotta be alright... As a backup PG, not a starter.

I didn't get to watch the game; but it just got me psyched to see MKG listed on the box score. It looked like he had a good game too. Also, nice to see Kaminsky starting off well.

The team will start looking like itself more once Kemba is back.

He's OK, but a definite downgrade from last year. Plus, Kemba is bound to miss a few games for whatever random reason.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

that actually looks incredibly similar to how I play in the post. Pivot 7 times drop a shoulder and throw up an airball hook or push shot from 12 feet

McHalish starts with a Dudleyesque finish.

I've ripped that off a commentator I can't remember

Common denominator on all of those ugly Hawes misses: solid post defense by none other than AJ Hammons

I maintain that I'd rather have kept Lance Stephenson for the duration of last season than have Hawes on the roster right now.

If it wasn't for his awful shot selection in the post, I'd really have no issues with Hawes. He's a great passer, decent 3pt shooter for a man his size and he usually holds his own on the defensive glass. But those post moves and shots in the paint, dear Lord. I think practicing with Big Al gave him a bunch of crazy ideas.

I think you don't remember life with Lance.

If you ask me, his problems stemmed from Al and the lack of spacing. He obviously had his own problems as well, but Lance wouldn't have hit rock bottom on this roster, and if there were questions about him getting along with the team, he could simply have been asked to leave the team, and we'd be done with his contract last summer. Give me one year of Lance over three years of Hawes any day. I know that trade got us Lamb, but he hasn't exactly set the league on fire either. We could've easily signed him this offseason instead of trading for him and extending him without any idea of what he was going to be like. I still like Lamb but that Lance/Hawes trade was pointless.

side note - yahoo's boxscores get worse every year. not to be outdone by NBA.com which has changed theirs for the worse as well with boxscores that are near impossible to use.

seriously check out this pile of garbage from NBA.com
http://www.nba.com/games/20161003/CHADAL#/boxscore

they have so much other crap going on to the left side and top that the boxscore doesnt fit on the screen, you can only see half of it, before you need to scroll to the right to see the rest. BUT, when you do scroll to the right you lose the player names on the left so you dont know who you are looking at anymore. Just awful design.

I swear website designs all over the web, not just boxscores keep getting worse and worse.

Man, you know you **** up bad NBA.com when you have Lebron complaining on twitter about the awful layout of the boxscores.
