Rank the starting QBs

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Oct 3, 2016 11:29 pm

As far down as you would like. Who you would rather have on your team this year, and then maybe a separate one (probably a shorter one) with who you would like to have on your team the next 8-10 years.

#1. Taylor - BUFFALO
#2. Keenum - RAMS
#3. Luck - COLTS
#4. Brees - SAINTS
#5. Ryan - FALCONS

After that, the rest of the teams and QB's suck and don't matter because Ernie says so. Just thought I would save us a lot of time and drama and get this out of the way first !!!!!!

Honestly, Russ might be the QB I take for the long run (8-10 years). Not a huge Luck fan. As talented as Cam is, I've never really liked the guy. Derek Carr is a solid pick too.

You don't need to bait Ernie in almost every post. He shouldn't be baited at all. A little light hearted banter is fine, but it's gotten a bit excessive.

A- Ryan is number 1 right now
B- in 4 weeks ,people like Luck and Brees will be top 5,no less than top 10. They already are top 10 with the numbers they put up.
C- Tyrod- the Bills will win but I have no clue where Tyrod stands

I'd have Palmer, Flacco and Eli much lower, I'd swap Bortles with Mariota, Oisweiler way lower and would move Wentz up a couple of spots.

I'd probably go with:

In terms of who I would most want leading my team this season based on their play so far:

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Matt Ryan
4. Philip Rivers
5. Ben Roethlisberger
6. Drew Brees
7. Sam Bradford
8. Russell Wilson
9. Derek Carr
10. Carson Wentz
11. Dak Prescott
12. Matthew Stafford
13. Andrew Luck
14. Matthew Stafford
15. Cam Newton
16. Andy Dalton
17. Kirk Cousins
18. Eli Manning
19. Ryan Tannehill
20. Alex Smith
21. Joe Flacco
22. Blake Bortles

I'll have to think about for the future.

Wow.

They've looked good sure, but Wentz and Dak over Luck? C'mon man. If Luck had any semblance of an offensive line he'd be Top 5 easily, probably even Top 3.

I like Dak and Wentz...don't get me wrong...but the hype is a little much at this point.

Well, I know Luck would look better with a better OL, so that plays a part, but Wentz has been nearly perfect. Zero interceptions and undefeated. That can't be ignored.

It's really hard to judge Luck after last year, which I thought was just a down year due mostly to injury. But being a mobile QB, it seems like he should be doing better.

But seriously, I think after the top two, their is a HUGE group of second tier QBs and they kind of alternate. I know I have Rivers high which may seem homerish, but he has a ton of yards, has his top 2 receivers out, many OL out (they played like 8 OL last week) and then he still has a 7-1 int ratio and is like 4th or 5th in passer rating.

As for Dak, the OL helps a ton, but still, I don't think he's thrown an int either. Luck should probably be higher, and between about 7 and 14, I think they are all very close at this point.

I really dissected the #s though, including passer rating, td/int ratio and yards per attempt. I mean, look at this and start with passer rating, then look at td/int, and then yards per attempt (which helps Dalton a bit).
