KP, Rose, BJ, Lee, WHG and Kuz were all solid one way or another offensively.

Everyone sucked on D except Lee, Holiday, and Ndour and Plumlee.

Melo was missing cutters and forcing jumpers and Lance Thomas was chucking 3's.

He was just messing around because Rose went to the locker room when he came out in the 3rd. But I think I read it was just to get his knees iced up

What's so deadly about Perimeter KP is his release is very, very quick for someone so large. With that release and his height he can't really be prevented from having a clean look unless his man is right up in his chest. Tonight should have opened Hornacek's eyes a little

We do need smaller lineups I'm afraid. Think Horn figures this out.

I know ya'll saw that crossover from Rose though (yeah he did miss the layup but still he completely froze the defender)

And then KP had one too it was a thing of beauty

Bring on the preseason overreaction. As long as Horny makes adjustments and the team improves game to game, it's a successful warmup. I'm sure a lot of vets are screwing around a bit, especially on the defensive end.

One thing is that Porzy better not be matched up against stretch 4s too often. He should be anchoring the D inside.

Kooze Billy N'dour and Holiday showed a little promise. Plumlee too. KP looked great. Everyone else sucks

Didn't seem to me like they were running the triangle...or much of anything, actually. That--and the poor perimeter defense--killed us.

That said, teams tend to struggle against D'Antoni-coached teams, especially during the preseason/regular season. All that run and gun can overwhelm squads, making them look (even) worse than they are. We'll know more about this Knicks team after the next game.

Still...and regardless of whether Melo kills it in the next game...he can't be the focus of this team's offense. Honestly, I don't think there SHOULD be a predetermined focus. Rose has got to go with the hot hand, and if that means force-feeding KP (or Lee, or Rose himself, or Holiday, etc.) over Melo, that's how it's got to be.

Hope Rose is smart enough to make these snap decisions on the court. (Listening to his interviews...I sometimes get worried!)
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.

How do you guys think Rose did running point? I think he was magnificent especially when he got loose in the 2nd half. He was making beautiful reads and hitting guys with laser passes, making excellent cross court passes to the corner shooters, wasn't ignoring KP or Melo and made sure they both got the ball in their sweet spots. KP went off in the 3rd but Rose assisted him on almost every shot. Love the chemistry between those two already.

You could have some games with

Rose
Lee
Melo
LT
KP

As the starting lineup where Lance guards the stretch and Melo guards whoever they stick in the post.
