Gibby made a solid call when he yanked Cecil after two batters. Cecil didn't have it and Gibby didn't wait. Team win is more important than "trusting" your guy.

That was the right call, but maybe Biagini could've gone 1.2 instead of .2. He was throwing 95+ and locating. Gibby played it perfectly though. Realistically we could've used Happ and Estrada too if necessary so you can't blame him for quick pulls.

He did well managing the pen. Glad to be eating crow. I was pissed when Osuna got injured, but can't complain about his method in retrospect.

When it got late and was tied, I was very concerned given how good their relievers are. We wore them down, which is kinda suprising. Awesome

Does Pedro keep calling Stroman "Michael" or is that just his accent?

And he didn't bite on burning Liriano early in the game, either. Having him in the back pocket meant that he could be pretty aggressive with the bullpen and still have a good option through, I dunno, 13-15 innings.

Is anyone in Toronto upset that the wildcard series is one game, winner take all? :)

Damn just saw Buck's postgame interview sounded like he was going to cry, feel bad for him and Ubaldo. Can't wait until that's Jeff Banister.

Britton being interviewed on mlb tv. Does not sound happy with the decision making by Buck, understandably.

STROMAN pitched a great game... good to see, im happy for him... that one home run was the only blip really... but looks like gibbons made the right choice. also bullpen was great.

the only mistake i think they made (and i didnt actually watch this part live, i just saw the gametracker on my phone) was bottom of 9, first and second, 0 out, bautista at the plate and they choose NOT to bunt... he ends up striking out and then a batter later martin grounds into the double play... can someone explain to me why they didnt bunt those runners over? did he try and fail? or did they literally opt to just swing away... because that couldve been the biggest mistake of the game had they lost... no idea why they didnt try to advance donaldson to third and then try to cash in with the sac fly...

Apparently Martin split open the pinky finger on his left hand while celebrating. Needs stitches.

Martin could get shot and still suit up the next day.
