The game wasn't on tv so im basing this off reports ive read and the box score, but the Pacers seemed very impressive tonight. Couple things that stood out to me-
-Balanced scoring. 7 players in double digit scoring.
-Joe Young looks determined.
-Despite Turner not available, Jefferson still came off the bench. Can clearly see McMillian's vision for him.
-High tempo offense- Pacers took 104 shots, and only committed 11 turnovers.

Re: Post-game: Pacers at Pelicans
I managed to catch a quarter. Bench looked impressive.
Jefferson's willingness to run is spotty, but as it's preseason play and he has less to prove, I'll definitely give him a pass.
GRIII or CJ should start at SG. I'll probably be saying this all year. We have so much shooting on the bench and not enough in the starting unit.

Every time I read or hear a interview with people in the Pacers organization or dialed in to the Pacers, they can't stop hyping up CJ Miles. Seems like everyone is expecting a career year from him after he put in some serious work over the summer.

I think this has to do with several things:
- He's likely disappointed with all the injuries he ended up with last year after starting out insanely hot
- He's a vet and is fighting for minutes (which would be awesome to have him showing the young guys the work you have to put in and how you have to handle things)
- He's in a contract year with a PO after this season and just saw the stupid money thrown around; this will be his 12th year in the league and he's made a shade less than 30 mil
A focused CJ with better shot selection could challenge for 6th man of the year if he's not starting.

I listened to it on 93.5. Heard good things about Joe Young.
Read somewhere that the team looks rather different with Jeff Teague being able to get into the paint the way he does. Like the way we hoped Monta Ellis was going to be able to do for us last year. Will be interesting to see it with my own eyes.

Or Thad Young and his defense.
It is good to know that this season we will have a player who is capable of guarding the Mirotics and PatPats of this world.
Solo, Lavoy or Myles, while being good defenders, struggled to defend those IMO
It is going to be an exciting Pacers season, with lots of vets looking to redeem theirselves and some hardworking older youngsters looking to establish themselves.
