take your own advice for rose. let the pros do their jobs.

also defendant doesn't need to be present in civil suits.

Of course we don't know the extent of the congratulatory cheers. Hopefully it was subtle. In the end shame on Rose and his lawyers for not being prepared to keep an appropriate, compassionate, & professional demeanor at all times. But again, maybe it was subtle.

Y'all ever been in a court room?

You ever been accused of rape and showed up 40 minutes late to your own trial?

Well I was not referencing that but sides celebrate all the time in court rooms Rose did nothing wrong but of course his name is not Porzingis so he's open for verbal attacks on here.

look, I think everyone agrees Rose is not the brightest bulb outside the basketball court.

The lawsuit and trial is cringeworthy, but at the same time, there are a lot of inconsistencies with the prosecution's argument. I wouldn't be surprised now to see Rose get off scotch free just due to the inconsistency

Love how players are idiots or low iq individuals when they don't do the things YOU want them to do.

i know, i just found it interesting that her testimony is largely based on her background & personality. being timid, naive, non-sexual, almost prudish. yet her texts to rose show her as a freak, deviant, and vulgar. she's crazy.

The scary thing is without the texts she could have him by the ballz and he'd be facing possible jail time if she put on a convincing performance. Hope he learns from this

It is likely nothing actionable will be proven conclusively either way. I can't see how the jury will reward her for what looks like an amateurish con job.

If you could prove someone lied about a rape accusation they should then go to prison themselves. But this will probably be shut down as he said, she said and wrapped up.

Rape is awful. False rape accusations are completely despicable too.

agree on prison time for false accusations. but i guess a lifetime of lawyer fees will have to suffice. she's in deeeeeeeep no doubt

Rose may have made some poor life choices, but nothing tops making false accusations and putting other people at risk of incarceration for a payday. With her limited options after this, being a hooker may actually one of her only remaining life options. Really dumb.

I mean this isn't a criminal trial, the worst thing he'll have to do is open his check book. I'd hazard a guess that 50% of the people reading about this case don't even know it's a civil trial. This is not Baylor football or Mike Tyson or even Kobe. The police investigated and the DA decided not to press charges.

Reminds me of one of the best court room scenes ever, second scene in the Wire...Stringer and his boys show up and intimidate the witness who refuses to confirm the murder. McNulty steps out and as he passes Stringer he says "I'll be chalking you off one day".

Of course he meant it metaphorically, like he'd pin a case on Stringer someday. But it turned out literally, as Stringer (HUGE SPOILER) was of course killed, and then was "chalked off" literally by the police.

Avon set up Stringer something crazy but Stringer set up Avon just as bad. Omar smoked Stringer with that shot gun

Best part about that scene was McNulty telling the judge every detail of what just happened then getting called into Rawls office and getting his ass handed to him, McNulty responds "f*** did I do"

This chick is a savage. She wasn't raped. She sounds like a drug addict party girl looking for money. I don't believe a word she says.

She isn't crazy. She is a freak who made a decision to present herself as a timid, naive young woman to win a settlement from a rich BF who didn't give her what she wanted. Her investment was walking out the door. She even had sex with other guys for him, and he still didn't give her what she wanted.

How can she testify about what happened when she says she didn't remember it? Nothing seems to make sense.

Both of them made really poor choices and both got snared by the complications of a very bad relationship. I hope he learns from this.

Obviously, I'm basing this on the evidence we've seen so far. If he had forced her or if evidence showed he had raped her, there would be no excuses and i'd agree he should pay. But so far, nothing presented by the plaintiff has shown this.

She can't recall if she asked him to stop? Can't she even lie now and say she told him to stop? No is No, but if she didn't say no, after all those inviting texts we saw, how is this non-consensual?
