So guys what differences do you see from Harden straight out of camp compared to last year?

Physically speaking he's in very good shape. He was fat last year. Outside of that he seems to have taken full ownership if the team as the leader and understands it's his responsibility to lead after Dwight left and he got that huge extension.

Anyone else watch the Rockets game in China? Just finished watching the recording. Rockets can still shoot very well, Clint is rounding into form, and KJ looks like he's solidifying his spot in the rotation. Besides that the team looks completely lethargic, sloppy and lazy defense, compared to how they came out the last two games, which I'm assuming happens when you play at 6:30 AM in your local time lol

Former Rockets update
Asik looked not good on defense or offense besides free throw shooting but did a good job cleaning up the boards.
Terrence Jones got a DNP coaches decision, memories of last season

from boxscore i see
1) capela still can't make free throw
2) harden needs to keep turnover lower
3) good to see mcdaniels is getting more playing time, i hope he stay in the rotation when beverley return

Harrell looked good. KJ very good. Brewer had an awesome block and could have a bounce back season. Ryan Anderson very impressive.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

The first one is definitely a problem but alot of Hardens turnovers came in the second half when he and some of the other vets just looked like they had no legs. I'm not too concerned about the high total

I didn't get to watch the game, but is the boxscore right? Anderson 39 minutes & Harden 37 Minutes. For a pre-season game? And we only won by 5, despite AD only playing 23 minutes?

Well Harden always like to play alot in the preseason. Did it in the last year or two. D'Antoni also wants to get everyone ready for the season and avoid chemistry bumps

typical you slowly increase the playing time as you go
first few games you give more playing time to those unknown
who is the first guy sub in, etc.
last 2 preseason games you will see more like regular season rotation min
2nd game in preseason (3rd one if you count the first exhibition game) and we don't see player like Dekker or Payton
almost seems like antoni wants the win to impress owner
maybe he wants to give more playing time to 11th-15th man in the next game
can only wait and see
don't like harden, anderson, and gordon playing so many min already

May be wrong but I'm pretty sure there's a D'Antoni quote saying he planned on doing the opposite, playing the younger guys more and vets less later on in the pre season

you actually want to increase it slowly
after off season your body need time to adjust to regular season min

I saw that KJ started this morning's game against the Pelicans. It looks like he is really working himself into the rotation.

This is why I never liked seeing his name discussed as a throw-in on trades. He looks to be coming into his own.

I expected a lot of people to clown Onuaku for the underhand free throw, but I'm seeing a lot of support out there for doing it.

He is addressing a weakness in an unconventional fashion, but it seems to be efficient.

Well it was 5 but China. He just looks like he's dead tired after a short amount of time, doesn't look the same as he did in the US not playing at 6:30 am lkl

Are you guys in the market for a backup big man? Nene has had some injury issues in the past. Any thoughts on KOQ?

Probably not, Harrell has played ok as a center and if a Dmo deal gets done he can play center too. Rockets don't have much to trade anyways
