Anyone planning on watching the whole Hornets game? I'm definitely switching over at 8:30, then may switch back after depending on how depressing the Panthers game is.

Offense

It’s obvious that the Hornets don’t yet have an offensive identity – they’ve sported a horrifying 88.3 Offensive Rating through the first three preseason games. A large chunk of this has to do with the absence of Kemba Walker during training camp, but the other factor is learning how to play without Al Jefferson. Who does the offense flow through now? The answer is probably Kemba, but while the Hornets wait for him to get back to full strength, they’ve got to find a way to make progress.

The outside shooting should round into form from what we’ve seen so far, which is 16%. Yes, 16 freaking percent from deep. Those are Lance Stephenson kind of numbers. The three’s that have been taken have been forced and taken place at the end of the shot-clock. Outside of the ball being dumped into Roy Hibbert from time-to-time, there has been very little action going to the basket for Charlotte and that’s suffocating the passing lanes to open shooters around the arc.

Let Kemba get his legs back under him before we all go into a full-blown panic, but the ineffectiveness of the offense through the first few preseason games is certainly grounds for concern.

Good call, got in my mind that they would start being on TV after Saturday but just checked and it's not. The season needs to hurry up.

That is kind of odd they would schedule a game opposite Panthers on MNF. Though I guess for tv purposes they won't overlap too much.

Do not really mind that. He is being aggressive shooting off the dribble which I like to see him even trying to do that. He is still shutting down Wiggins and has created more than one fastbreak opportunity. I would love for him to knock some shots down too, obviously though haha.
