Yes. He is definitely better.

I get that Chandler has a wealth of experience but if you compare them, the only thing Len does better is shoot FT's at a decent percentage. I'm not saying he should be coming out and playing like a 15 year NBA vet but I wanted him to be able to take minutes from Chandler and not just be his back up. At this stage, it might be possible to grab an up and coming youngster from the D-league and replace much of Len's contributions at a significantly lower cost and commitment.

Similarly, if we simply wait til this summer for RFA - who would be interested (and capable of making an offer)? There simply aren't that many teams who would appear to be in the market for a guy like Alex. Given that, we might be able to sign him at a bargain. No matter what you think of Len, if we can retain him for under $10 mil/yr, that's a bargain.

Strangely enough I think the Warriors would be a landing spot for him as a Bogut replacement. I think they will miss him more than people think (but with Durant they will still blow the doors off of teams.) I think the Blazers could use him as Leonard seems to be more of a perimeter player these days. Boston next to Al Horford could work. Possibly Houston as they have just Capela and Nene at C, neither of which are really a Center. What about the Cavs? I don't think there's much money available there but their only listed C right now is T.T. and he's not a Center either. So I think there are a few teams that make sense, but certainly no one with the Money the Suns have and an actual need for a C.

And the truth is, for a BWS, he's damn good. I'd take him over Mozgov, Koufus, Asik, either Zeller, any Plumlee, Aldrich, Leonard, Withey, and Gortat.

It looks like the Suns are considering keeping Derrick Jones instead of Jenkins for the season. Jones has a 4-year non-guaranteed contract with the Suns ($42.5k guaranteed this season).

Does anyone know why he came out after one year in college? These numbers are hardly eye popping.

Was he a top recruit out of HS I don't remember or something?

I would prefer to trade Chandler at the deadline. I like Chandler, but now might be the time to get something for him. He would be a great fit for the Warriors.

IDK. Obviously, the Warriors don't have the contracts to move for Chandler, and Pachulia's underrated. Len's salary makes him easier to deal.
I prefer Len to Chandler. Keeping Chandler over Len would be more palatable if there were some solid C prospects in next year's draft, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
If we could keep Len on a reasonable deal, we might be able to hang onto both for a while. I could see both the Suns and Tyson being happy with a divorce. But in terms of trade partners, I think our options are very few.
