two blowouts... the team's moral could quickly be lost... even if it is pre-season, you can't play defense like this...
Whitehead, Bennet, CMC======> D- League

The Nets are in desperate need of some mobile size on the interior.

CMC is too skinny and too raw to contribute.
Scola can be good on offense in spurts, but his defense leaves much to be desired.
Bennett is...Bennett.

when Bennet and CMC manning the inside, you basically can expect zero defensive rebounds,

Hamilton.

Oh cool thanks. He didn't seem like a PNR big to me - more of a pick and pop kind of guy, didn't see him dive to the rim or anything. I like him but maybe as a 3rd option

Once we see how good Lin/Lopez can be together and individually perhaps Sean Marks will look into investing for a Rudy Gay.

That's precisely the problem, since he doesn't have the mobility to defend at a high level for 30+ mpg.

Need more rebounds, rim protection, and better Pick & Roll defense.
The offense has find any rhythm yet.
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

Those guys hustle and its great but their offense is hard to watch - especially when try to force it. really impressed by some of the other shooters, Harris, Hamilton. Those guys will be great as spot up shooters.

Hopefully there will be a few other players who can emerge as a good penetrator other than Lin to have more options for the team or someone who can create their shot. Although Bogan is pretty sick.

Overall I think this team is going to surprise the league. They have hustle and heart, just need to pull it together and see if others will step up besides the main players who we already know will produce.

I've been saying for a while now that this team's weakness is going to be that they don't have a second creator/ball handler alonside Lin. Maybe they're hoping that Kilpatrick will fill in that role, but as of now, it's going to be really bad if Lin is pressured to give up the ball early or he's unavailable to play.

Ball movement will be extremely necessary for the Nets to have any shot at winning some games.

Agreed. I saw some Kilpatrick - but he seems like a shooter mostly as well. Someone mentioned the Offense and Defense being completely trash, while this is true, keep in mind none of these lineups (at least to me) will be set in stone, so thank god for that lol. Another thing is, I think most of the players on this team are new right? And they have to adapt to a new coach. Most of the Roster on the heat are not really new, so their plays and sets are more tight. Plus the guys they have, have more nba experience I think. How young are the Nets? Scola is the oldest

Foye?

The Heat are the best at pressuring tho.

Foye can maintain an offense for a few minutes and spell the main PG while they get rest. But he is not a true ballhandler/creator. As others have said, I do think Tyler Johnson would've been a great complement to Lin as that secondary ballhandler.

Ya.....he played pretty well tonight.

Let's hope LV can be it.

Maybe Vasq if he gets his rust off.

I think Booker should really be a SF stater. I think the Nets lack a real starting PF with some length. I suspect Kenny really wanted and hoped Bennett might get his act together to snatch that PF spot so Booker can slide to the SF. But alas, Bennett seems to be missing something in pre-season and he's a bit slow and not very explosive in terms of quickness.

RHJ is ok but I need to see more. Right now I can't see why he starts.

My Starters Preference through 3 games: Lin, Bojan, Booker, Hamilton or Bennett (much better jump shooter than Scola & better vibe with Lin over time), Lopez

My Bench through 3 games: RHJ, Skil, Foye, Scola (maybe), Hamilton or Bennett, Harris.

This team needs a good backup center beyond Hamilton in my opinion. The guys more stretch 4 than stretch 5 to me..we'll see.

I think Lopez, Hamilton, Scola as interior players are fine. I've looked around already to find another back up big there aren't many talents out there that can be attain. I think our priority this season is to find an under the radar point guard some fix the scoring and have an option for reset in a play. Like I said MCW or maybe we can get Delon.

Na, we're resting two main guys both games. We're giving a lot of minutes to the youngsters. Many new guys, some rusty guys.

OTOH, are they gonna treat Boston differently?

I've been disappointed in what I've seen so far from RHJ.

Hello people Lin fan here looking at this nets i gotta say RHJ is a diamond in the rough probably one of my favorite young talents because of his defense. his shot though man its up there with MKG for ugliest shot of the decade. as time goes he'll probably fix it hopefully!

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”
