Joel Anthony signed to camp deal, not bad. The guy can block shots from what I remember of him, a decent big guy as a backup/D League wait lost at the worst.

he was ok about 8-10 years ago... this must be a backup for a backup because honestly he is barely even d league material now
Travis Outlaw: Oh man. That feels great. To have a bobblehead of me is just terrific.

I have no problem bringing Anthony into camp. Extremely hard working dude with a great attitude, plus he's Canadian!

Doubt he makes the team though but a good training camp fodder type guy. He'll push guys in practice and provide a little extra veteran wisdom.

Here is a great trade to consider

Indiana gets: Danny Green,Jonathan Simmonds, Terry Rozier
SAS gets: Marcus Smart, Jonas Jerebko, Cj Miles
Boston gets: Monta Ellis, Raheem Christmas, Patty Mills

Indiana gets an elite shooter, and cheap replace for Miles, and future point guard of future Terry Rozier

Spurs get Tony Parker heir an apparent in Smart, Stretch 4 Jerebko and veteran bench scorer, its hard to imagine trading Danny Green and his great contract, but i love the smalls they pick up Ryan Arcidiacono ,Nicolás Laprovíttola, Patricio Garino, Bryn Forbes, Dejounte Murray. I think at east two of them are going to be part of next generation. Smart qualities are impressive. Miles is nice compliment to Leonard. Jonas Jerebko can be nice change of paces to Lamarcus Aldridge. and immediately supplants David Lee, and Davis Bertans

Boston gets a volume scorer, a heady Point guard to compliment Bradley and Isiah thomas, and a big powerforward who can can develop slowly

Depth Chart

PG Parker, Laprovíttola Murray,
SG Smart, Ginobili,
SF Leonard, Miles, Anderson, Jean-Charles
PF Aldridge, Jerebko Bertans
C Dedmon Gasol Lee

stashed players Arcidiacono,Garino,Forbes in the d league

If laprovittola makes the team, he going to a good player for them

the second unit is tremendous offensively ridiculous ! Smart and Ginobili are the backup point guard, with Anderson acting a teritary facilatior. Gasol to the bench is going to be huge for them, he going to dominant in that sixth man role

I'd probably do it. Losing Mills and having to rely on Laprovittola and Smart behind Tony kinda makes me nervous but in the long term I think this deal helps us. I'd also probably start Miles over Smart for spacing reasons.

I appreciate your opinion, I like your thoughts about CJ Miles he is great with spacing, I think, this next step in evolution back to the NBA finals. Lets face Ginobili in big games and big spots has been the defacto backup point guard for years now

Just popping in. I'm curious about the rumor Jackie Mac heard about Aldridge. She was on Comcast Sports Network pregame with two local Boston guys, both douches in their own right, so she left us all hanging but said after what she heard the other day, she wouldn't trade for him, but he's a name to watch out for to get traded mid season. I'm itching to know something. You guys heard something? He's a fantastic player. I dont get it.

He's not going to be traded. Jackie was apparently using the Zach Lowe crazy prediction column as an actual report....just sensationalism from a reporter..

What Mo said. It all came from Lowe's piece and it's complete and utter nonsense.
