That's true. I could also see Jennings calling in the hit, too. He also has a strong motive. Financial, with the cap jump in the summer.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the accuser failed to show the texts that they were hiding? Is that why no mistrial came? And how did they know they were missing texts?

The judge gave Doe's lawyer time to prove that they had turned in the texts at a stated time in the past. If they could not prove they had, he would consider mistrial. I haven't read anything to confirm that they now have provided that proof. The judge may have decided that both sides were able to make their cases now that the texts are out there, so allowed the trial to proceed.
