Assuming a deal is consummated, who are the choices to fill the then vacant head coach post for the USA?

Klinsmann needs to go now. This team needs a successful european coach. And I mean coach, not former player like Klinsmann pretending to be a coach. Guardiola obviously isn't available but someone with his mentality is needed.
Modern tactics, knowledge of all the latest developments in coaching, and success at the highest level. Guardiola, Mourinho, Pochettino, Emery, Valverde are all names that come to mind but they're all unavailable right now. The only ones who are available right now are has-beens, but Ranieri looked like a has-been when Leicester got him and he proved to be a great hire. If the US federation has clever people making the choice, I'm sure they can find someone who has the skills and knowledge and is willing to work hard.

I honestly can't believe how a guy like Klinsmann keeps getting work. I can understand getting the Germany job. The team was horrible in 2004 and they needed a fresh face, a superstar that no one would criticize. Then Bayern gave him a chance but when they realized he's not really a coach, they got rid of him immediately. And then for some reason he's hired by the US. WTF?

I know that a lot of people feel a US coach is needed after Klinsmann, but I disagree. What the team needs now is someone who has worked and succeeded (recently, not 20 years ago) at the highest level, and that's Europe, not the MLS. But of course the new coach will have to commit to watching every single MLS game, and work closely with the MLS coaches.

Here's an idea
Laurent Blanc: very successful, won a title with Bordeaux for crying out loud, won every year with PSG but failed in the CL. PSG however always played Good football and most importantly always had a system. He's so much better than that clown Klinsmann it's not even funny. And he's available right now.

I've watched a bit of De La Torre. He could turn into a good player if he were to go to continue training and gaining experience abroad.

Good that he got a hat trick. Not taking anything away, but that last goal was an easy one. What was good to see was that he put himself in good position to get a good feed. He is starting to get better off the ball making use of his speed. It will be good to see Pulisic getting the ball to Green in the near future for the national team. Green still has a lot to improve upon...still a nice showing for a preseason game.

whatever you do, DONT, go look at pics of the field.
hopefully they bring extra tape and braces,
cause ankles and knees are at risk

this roster might be the best call ups JK has ever made.
ok, it still has Wondo on it, and for some random stupid Jurgen reason, Timmy Chandler is back. PUKE

still need LEFT FBs
no reason to keep Fabian back there

Julian Green scored in both friendlies
he has looked very good in the final 3rd of the field
has good speed,
decent dribble,
always looks to attack.

idk if he has any defense,
the most ive seen is him chasing someone down and getting in front of them.
not sure if that means anything that says, defense.

still, if you dont get games with your club team, id rather that player not get games for usa.
he has to leave Bayern.

both of these friendlies were a huge waste imo
didnt bring in any LEFT.FBs
played Acosta there, and thats not his true position

played Altidore and Bradley too much

Altidore didnt give 2 fuks in the gave vs NZ

we did learn, Yarbrough and Omar are NOT good
they can both be bumped OUT of the top 30 players for usa

nice to see Gooch

Orozco was ok, but, wev needed to move on from him for a while

we should have called in every LEFT FULLBACK that have,
figured out 2 guys that are solid enough to play there.
then we can use Fabian as an O.midfielder or winger.
that will help possession, attack and scoring.

ive pretty much said the same things about Jurgens decision making on players,
and the deficiencies of team usa, since we got JK.
thats really NOT good.
just means JK hasnt improved things.
