That way we have 2 good defensive minded C's, and Jokic and Hernangomez as offensive minded PF's..

I'm not a big Noel fan, but I certainly wouldn't turn him down if it doesn't cost us young players. Problem with the offer of Faried + xxx is that Philadelphia doesn't really need bigs at all. Even Saric & Simmons can play PF, although it sounds like their coach wants them at SF & PG. They still have a lot of depth at bigs. Worse, they want a LOT for Noel is what people are saying. (((When I hear that it makes me think of what Denver wants for one of your young players - a lot more than they are worth, at least their current value. LOL And I'm OK with that.)))

96 minutes at Center & Power Forward: even without Faried, we still have Jokic, Nurkic, Arthur, Hernangomez plus Gallinari & Faried and with Malone's love of three guards, that'll push our SFs to PF, which isn't all bad. Adding Noel would be nice but there just aren't minutes for all the young guys to develop.

The problem is not at the C/PF position, I see it as more with the C position. You combine the two but I don't see Arthur or Juancho able to play the 5, especially for extended minutes should injury/fouls plague Jokic or Nurkic. The 4 is covered (crowded) IMO

Number of minutes from last year for the Top 5 Nuggets
34.7 Gallinari
32.1 Harris
30.4 Mudiay
28.7 Barton
26.6 Nelson

Malone likes his guards, playing 3 guards is common for him.

20.7 Jokic
17.6 Lauvergne
17.1 Nurkic
15.3 Hickson

Those were our four centers and Hickson is only 5'9", but when he played, it was always at center. Malone does not rely on his centers. Which is why he seems comfortable with just 2 centers on the roster and maybe even a D-League Stokes as an emergency reserve. Last year, Faried played center in some combinations and he's only 6'8" (officially and some say shorter). Arthur is listed at 6'9" and I can see Malone playing him at center as well. Not saying I agree but just saying it's consistent with how Malone played his rotation last year. I suspect he says his options at center and PF as:

Jokic-Nurkic-Faried-Arthur-Hernangomez with maybe Stokes in there somewhere, if they keep him
Faried-Jokic-Arthur-Gallinari-Chandler-Hernangomez
