After a few tries with proxies I managed to download the second half. If anyone wants me to upload it to somewhere, let me know.

Anyone with a full replay link? Would be much appreciated, because the usual places don't have it up to now.

To me, the most remarkable stat is the turnovers. That is a low number, especially since the bench had most of the minutes, the key players are primarily rookies, and they have been together a very short period of time. Good on em.

Just watched the stream. Knight is horrible.

He made his stat line look a bit better in garbage time playing against the 3rd stringers.

Did you see how he threw the ball and walked directly off the court when the buzzer sounded?

We are going to have to trade him. Dude is NOT happy.

Also, did you guys see the play where Knight threw a horrible pass from halfcourt that was deflected and should have been stolen, but took a lucky bounce and ended back up in his hands?

Knight then immediately threw another long and risky pass into the same area that was AGAIN deflected and should have been stolen, but somehow Chriss grabbed it and dunked it.

Brandon Knight sucks! :banghead:

fatlever wrote:Welp, I got Chriss at #5. Was hoping to get the double and land Bender at #15, but he went at #12. Now I have two Suns on my dynasty team, have had Bledsoe since his rookie year.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be lurking this year.

Out of curiosity, what was the order of the picks?

1. Simmons
2. Ingram
3. Dunn
4. Hield
5. Chriss

??

Been reading this forum to see what hometown fans feel about Quese, and to be honest I am really considering him at 1.3 in my rookie draft. His skill set is incredible for a 19 year old. Don't find that kind of shooting touch and athleticism combo in many spots.

He's a bit undersized, but he can make up for it with athleticism. I don't think he'll see it as much when Chandler and Len are both playing though. I really like how he's making a point of boxing out and getting his body into his man to rebound, total change from what he did in college.

But he's just 19 YO, and we've seen players (Warren/Booker) hit growth spurts, so I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being around 6'11" 250 (he came in 6'10" 233). If everyone here is right, and I am wrong, and Len doesn't pan out this year, we will need a young 5 to develop, and with his 'ups' (38.5"), and length (7' .25"), I don't think he will be that big of a mismatch. And that would open up a spot for Bender to play the Stretch 4 role. If our depth chart was...

Bledsoe / Ulis
Booker / Jones Jr. or Jenkins
Warren / ???
Bender / Dudley
Chriss / Len

...next season, I'd be a happy man, as that will have mean we chose wisely this draft. In fact, I'd prefer that be our lineup after the All-Star Break, if we are already out of contention by then.

I would point out that there is a huge difference between describing what's happened and predicting what will happen. I have no idea whether Len will make it, prior to this preseason I thought we had a player just about to break out. And I'm still hoping that's the case. But as to his performance to date, he wouldn't even be drafted in the second round if all they'd seen was his 2016 preseason efforts.

Completely on the same page. I think our youth is the future and we need to prioritise them developing into their long term roles. That's why I'm ok with dealing Knight, even if it is for negligible return, as imo the true value comes in creating development opportunity for the youth. We are loaded with picks so even if some guys flop, we at least will know where our holes are and can replace via the next few drafts.

I wouldn't be opposed to:
Knight, PJ to Sac
For
Gay, Collison, and the right to swap 2017 1sts

We pick up two expiring veteran placeholders that tide us over at backup PG / starting SF for the year, while Ulis adjusts to the role and Warren fully recovers from injury. Next year we hit the ground running with:

Bledsoe, Ulis
Booker (Barbosa)
Warren
Bender (Dudley)
Chriss, Len, Williams

With picks and capspace to fill in the holes.
