Fine.
Don't score.
Praying for a 1-0 finish.
Kershaw, don't **** around with Rizzo please. He took you deep at Dodgee Stadium last year.

Fox is wrong. MLB has that first pitch as a clear strike, not even on the line but inside the zone!!!!

not just the computer zone, but I saw it as a strike, for whatever it is worth.
glad that didn't ruin this game.

The Wrigley Field crowd got me all nervous more than Baez's swing on the 3rd out of the 7th inning. We're thankfully out of it and Kershaw alleviates some of that 7th-inning burden he's had on his chest.

Kershaw in the 8th for Me

Personally, I would go with Kershaw in the 8th with a short leash. I just don't trust our pen right now outside of Kenley Jansen in light of the Blanton meltdown and I don't want Kenley to go longer than 1 inning.

with Contreras coming up? no. not unless Grandal sees what I see and change his approach.
Contreras took every pitch at his first at bat. Clayton threw a ton of fastball. his second at bat, he caught up and nearly crushed it.
IF Grandal gets it, and askes for nothing more than curves and sliders, I say he should not be facing their rookie catcher. on the other hand, if Grandal sees it and gets Contreras out on breaking stuff he has not seen much yet, then the last two outs are Heyward and a pinch hitter. Kershaw can get Heyward who is a lefty then we can call on Jansen from there on for the last 4 outs.
but that is all depends on whether Dave sees what I saw and can communicate with Yaz to get it done or not.
